Scout, Scavenger, Trader, Bounty Hunter are ones I find myself getting nearly every time.

Fifth man depends. I wish scout had the larger vision radius of lookout, so I often end up taking that one, but otherwise I've tried a few different ones. If going heavy armor, blacksmith might be good to cut down on the long repair times.

Only played gladiators so far.

Drill sergeant first
Scout second
Recruiter Third
Scavenger Fourth
Then Agent/Bounty depending which one i get first.
Then replace either drill sergeant or recruiter with the second of agent/bounty depending on the state of my team.

A brother with a permanent injury is usually as good as dead anyhow.
There's at least a few injuries you can safely function with, depending on whether it's a ranged brother or not. Brain damage, missing eye, missing ear, missing nose, at times even traumatized - all can be quite bearable. I don't know the exact math behind it, but it's my personal impression that these sort of injuries also happen far more often than the others, in comparison to stuff like broken elbow joint, so at one point I had like 3 missing eye brothers who were shield tanks up-front.
It's situational, really. You've like nearly 50% chance that your brother will still be usable in some form, and that's worth it.

Bounty hunter is great, but you can get stacks with 2 (or even more prob) champions, along with regular leaders, which can get very dicey.

Depends on your playstyle I guess.

For me if I'm doing ironman and my core character dies or I otherwise get way too behind I just call it a run.

I'm not the one to cry about RNG and craft creative conspiracies on how there's secret rolls and shit, but I'm starting to subconsciously fear rolls that depict my hit chances as lower than 70%. Like, I'm missing so many of those I've lost any possible hope to actually hit something. I just might do an excel statistic evaluation one of these days to discern just how subjective my perception of this is.

The amazing thing about the soundtrack is how well it follows the pace of the gameplay itself despite the game being turn-based. Not all easy to do. Example is the Orc soundtracks, the sounds come in fast and hard, which is just about how fights with them start since they're throwing javelins and rushing your line from turn1. Necro one has a slower build, which paces with how they slowly shamble across the battlefield, and then about midway into the track it starts feeding in a sense of tension and anxiety which is usually what starts happening to the player as defeated undead get back to their feet. When I hear the soundtracks, I can always visually match it with the fights I've had in-game.

I managed to overcome the trauma I've been through after watching that arvius stream and managed to beat my first blade dancer in arena with my new bros. Netted the mofo with my dagger bro and kept stunning him with Lion while dagger bro picked him apart with deathblow and Bear tanked the other two enemies. Such a tight-knit team.

My dagger bro now has overwhelm which I'm finding very useful in arena. I'm still deciding if I should put quick hands on him and lion since throwables are so useful now, but not sure if worth it on them, especially outside arena where you can have other bros for that.

An uncommon combination of numbers doesn't prove anything.
There is the problem.
It pretty common happening.
The streaks of similar numbers.
It can be in your favor or the enemy.
Sometimes all your attack connects or sometimes they all miss(same for enemy) regardless of %. I seen it too much times to the point that I do not even look at % hit chance.

Like I said, I'm dead serious on running a thorough analysis. I'm losing my mind here. While I was going through Beginner/Vet difficulties, sure, there was RNG bullshittery, but not enough of it to consider "foul play". I'm at least 50 hours deep into expert now, and if I received a dollar each time I missed a 95% I'd be richer than motherfucking Bezos now. I've played so many RNG "heavy" games over the course of two decades and never once have I complained about absurdity of RNG, but there's something about this goddamn game.

Fucking Krauts, two world wars weren't enough.

The fire lance can be excellent earlier on in the game as it allows a line of sub-par brothers to dish out considerable damage with it's +40% to hit chance. It can stay relevant later as well if you give your guys Quick Hands so that they may use another weapon after having spent their charge, since the fire lance is really just a regular spear without the spearwall ability at that point.

I've mainly used it as the starter weapon for my pathetic slaves indebted.

That's how you know the RNG is working. If it has no streaks, and everything is evenly spaced out, it's not random.

The thorough analysis has been made. Someone created a script to log all rolls into a spreadsheet, and logged around 10.000 of them. The RNG works as intended.

Damn, seeing the same silly debates from the steam forums spill into here really shows you that all humans are equal, eh?

What's silly about it? X-com for example rigged the RNG in favor of the player. Why is it so outrageous to discuss this? And like I said earlier, I'm well aware of how human intuition can be biased and flawed, especially with emotions flared up because the game really doesn't forgive, but I'm mostly curious about this case in particular because I don't recall seeing this much controversy about RNG in any other game before. Not that I claim it doesn't exist - just that I myself am unfamiliar with it.
And on a personal basis, I'm curious as to why I have suspicions towards the system in this game, whereas I didn't bat an eye in any other : from Tactics Ogre and Baldurs Gate, to Darkest Dungeon and dozens upon dozens of other titles.

Yeah sure. Been here when it was done. But the analysis in question only checked how often numbers appear didn't checked the streaks of similar numbers.
If I remember correctly question was raised directly to devs and we suppose to get response from them but we never got one.

Are there famed gonnes? I want one!
Seen one on the game start when I was out of cash.
Pretty good withe extra dmg and extra accuracy.

Great early especially massed.
>can be shoot in melee
>two hex attack
>+40% accuracy
>with Quick hand you can swap for second one and shoot twice
If you arm your early green line with them you can dab on unarmored enemies very effectively.
It loose effectiveness rather quickly and don't work well in late mid or late game but early they are really nice.
Also hand stick slings should be able to be used as regular sticks.
