I grew up reading Stackpole, X-Wing, the various Battletech series (only found those while I was in University) and a full novel would be the proverbial bees knees!

I think more important in this regard is that the BTech team and HBS is led by the guy who made the original BattleTech board game and worked on several of the old video games.Guess we could expect that from the guys who worked on the original Shadowrun pnp.
I'd say it's actually visually better aged than MW2, given how it has those really nice bartender screens and the like, in both original and Japanese versions.Yup. That one. You took on contracts all over the inner sphere while gathering clues from contacts/bartenders to move the main quest further. Sometimes a contract would be an uneventful garrison duty and other times you'd be fighting for all you had. Plus it was great to be able to advance your merc lance by pilfering the spoils of war. Yes, it's all aged and basic and looks ugly but it is also the basics of what HBS is hinting at in the Kickstarter.

Battletech earned $1,255,693 in its first 3 days.
Here's the picture I like to use to demonstrate the different spreads during a campaign:
...
We have multiple types of campaign here. We have front-loaded ones like Bard's Tale IV and Yooka-Laylee, campaigns with the more traditional Kickstarter behaviour like Mighty No.9*, and balanced ones like Project Eternity and Bloodstained.
...
Still not going to pledge unless they actually pass the PvP mark
Now'd be a good time for Fargo to use that "Kicking it forward" thing of his. Relatively cheap good press and for a good cause.
There have been better thing to do that for. Like for Copper Dreams once its KS is ready. Now'd be a good time for Fargo to use that "Kicking it forward" thing of his. Relatively cheap good press and for a good cause.
and what a faggtoy excuse and logicNah. If PvP had been a milestone before the single player campaign perhaps. But no pvp means my interest is a big, fat 0% right now.
You guys are talking like this is some kind of indie in distress.
