Never give companions burst weapons.
It's a Fallout axiom.
Unless it's P90c for Sulik with him set to charge at the enemy.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Grab the Codex by the pussy RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I helped put crap in Monomyth
- Gauss weapons deal weapon damage (+ perks and critical effects) to all creatures in the line of fire.

In all the years I've been playing, I never knew they could hit multiple targets.

I guess the situation has just never come up.

Edit: From a mod, serves me right for glancing through too early!

They don't usually live long if you let them charge the enemy

Cuz they cannot. It's from a mod description.

Gauss pistol > Gauss rifle > Bozar due to range+damage and the fact that you can shoot the pistol more times than what should be legal with the right build. in fact, the gauss weapons are so powerful that i avoid using them because it feels like cheating

bozar isn't going to do shit when you can't even get close enough to shoot it. :positive:

With fast shot, action boy and maximum ap you should be able to fire it 3 times. it's a crowd control gun. The biggest problem with bozar is that if your companions get in the way they are deadmeat. So ideally you'd need bonus movement perk to walk around them without wasting ap.

I think bozar is the weapon that feels like cheating, especially considering how early you can get it. Gauss weapons I didn't find too overpowered, just decent enough to keep going till the end game.

What I like to do is mod turbo plasma to use less AP like in FO1, then use that and give it to Marcus as well.

Bozar was overhauled in one of killap releases, turning it into a single fire weapon. I believe Magnus changed the weapon attributes in his Weapons Redone mod, too. So you may want to check them out.

There are couple weapons which are the best, but that depends on the build and what you want to achieve. That's what makes Fo2 a great game for multiple replays.

Sniping people in the eyes? Gauss rifle. Turning crowds into thin paste? Rocket launcher with either normal or AP rockets depending on their armor. Closer range? Flamer and you will have crusty nuggets instead. Somewhat in the middle? Bozar. If you are going for speed without aiming AND without big guns then Gauss Pistol or Alien Blaster. You can even go on killing spree throwing flares if you have proper crit perks.

Rocket launcher is very fun, that is true. Kind of heavy/rare with the ammo so maybe needs a sidearm to go with.

Oh man is time for a new game? Been a couple of years. Fast shot, big&small guns, gamble, to redding and new reno to get money and flamer at first, rocket launcher later, 9mmSMG sidearm upgrading to p90 later, sounds good..

Pulse rifle is the patrician's choice. Nothing resist it, packs a punch, plentyful ammo and triggers the coolest death animation. Add a PPK Gauss pistol as a backup weapon and you can take on anything

Pulse rifle comes very late and its death animation has to be switched off, unless you want to go crazy while trying to loot.

I see some of you guys voted for HK P90c.
A really powerful weapon. Ammo is plenty for it, good damage, capable of two powerful bursts AND it costs one less AP to fire than other typical guns.
With the Bonus Rate of Fire perk and Fast Shot trait this gun is just phenomenal.
