I haven't played anything but Chess on my phone since Plants vs Zombies was new.

which one?

which is a decent chess game (doesn't need to be free) to play against the CPU?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.lichess.mobileapp

Play against the computer, or against other people if you are online, very lighweight. You can also watch live games in progress on the app's home page.

Yes, I use Lichess. Faster queues than Chess.com, and I don't have to see Bill Gates' dysgenic visage every time I search for a game. I don't play against the computer as the psychological aspect is very interesting to me but Stockfish, a well regarded chess engine is built in.

Atom is mobile?

What's the best list for blobbers ios & google play (for my chromebook which I guess is android compatible.). Having discovered my Chromebook again, I'd like to load it with RPGS. I have an amazon fire tablet too...

Just emulate games with android emulators if you have to, you're not going to get anywhere on Android past console ports and PC ports.

The most fun I had on a tablet was just playing Pepsiman on it.

I played the mobile version of NEO Scavenger a number of years ago while I was out of town for a week and it was good. I'd imagine by this point, and this point was probably like 2009, that stuff like blobbers and tactical RPGs would work perfectly fine on tablets (especially tablets) and phones. Anything turn based should be able to function just fine on mobile stuff.

Sega has been putting shit on ios. I picked up the free phantasie star 2-4 and shining series but those are trial versions (pay to remove ads). Dragon warrior series and Final Fantasy are there too. And I mentioned in the other thread Lunar SSST and Vay. No eternal blue though.

There are a lot of mobile threads. Here's a quote from the 13page one

Developer of sorcerer (ios)
The reason why I included emulators is that most people here would already know which games to play examples
Ds-fighting fantasy or srpgs
Psp-mostly jrpgs hence why I recommend dnd tactics
Snes-that crappy shadwrun game

Wish I could have included more but both both play and the app store are crowded with shovelware with inapp purchases

Even though I don't own a ios device anymore I'll see if I can find some rpg"s for ios users, dont wanna rub em the wrong way.
SNAGGING THIS IMMEDIATELY!!!
https://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~by7n-ysmr/apps/sorcerer.htm

You can only get 1, 4, 6. Dunno why you can't get 2, 3, 5.

Why the fuck would anyone want to play Atom rpg or Planescape on a tiny phone screen instead of PC, what kind of shit are you smoking?

because it's the best mobile gaming has to offer
the best mobile games will be inferior ports of pc games

Since we're in the best offline android games I can't argue with that. For some subconscious reason my mind translated this thread as the best offline games to kill some time.
Probably cuz I don't give a fuck about playing the aforementioned games in a tiny screen.

DarkBlood (Android / iOS)

Forward Escape the Fold (Android / iOS)

Battle for Wesnoth (Android. iOS, as well, despite what the video description implies)

DarkBlood eh? Seems it has a sequel. Free to play but ads.

And it has some gacha shit:

Of all that, getting rid of ads for $1.99 is probably ok. I hate ads.

About the gems, I haven’t finished the game (so correct me if I'm wrong) but from what I can tell, they can be collected in-game, too, their purchase being an alternative to wasting time from watching ads — so it's not mandatory.

Maybe you stop getting gems from watching ads after reaching a certain quota, and if that's indeed the case, I apologize, that'd be awful, unplayable even.

There's a NPC which offers you a reward for watching ads, in the default version. I suppose the very same NPC would reward you from simply speaking with them, after you pay for the “premium” version, with no ads.

If you needed hundreds of gems to instantly revive and you received half a dozen from that NPC, then the conversation would go to another level, but from what I can tell the IAPs are far less aggressive than other mobile games.
