You're definitely not the only one.I'm glad to find out that I'm not really having the literal headache that I got from this amazing redesign, and that it's just me being a grognard.

Weird, font looks almost exactly the same to me. What is getting me is the color palette, I don't understand why the new style can't use the same RGB/HEX/web666 color values for post body as the old style.font seems different
Taluntain: Yes, please extend the actual thread/forum viewing area. Outside of ill-advised design dogma that somehow became widely adopted common wisdom, there is no reason why so much space should be wasted, and it's probably the single greatest contributor to the backlash because it reminds people of the rest of the web that so easily patronizes people.
I also second racofer's suggestion to use Dark Reader, it helps with contrast considerably. Maybe consider checking it out and adopting the color scheme directly.
Personally, I'm getting eyestrain from the layout. It feels like it was designed for 800x600. Maybe there should be a notice somewhere, like in the olden times: "This website is best viewed in 800x600".You're definitely not the only one.
It's just one of the dozens of things on the to-do. It will get done, there will be no loss of previously existing features by the time we're done with everything. Just have patience.Taluntain something aside from design changes, how difficult would it be to restore the subforum threads appearing under the main forum like we had on the old site?
Twiglard can you do anything about the colors? The old alternating gray-blues for posts were #484E5F (darker) and #596171 (lighter). None of the new site colors match, and I think this is one of the unarguable things that could be done to help ease the transition.Weird, font looks almost exactly the same to me. So the Codex I loved is forever gone, replaced with this hideously disfigured cripple? And you have no idea what it means to edit a XenForo style. This style had to be redone from scratch, it's not a "change" of the old XF1 style. EVERYTHING on XenForo2 we need to redo from scratch, nothing just transfers over as-is. The entire underlying software has been recoded from scratch, in a different concept and in a different way. There is no copy-pasting what was before.

Have you actually asked any mobile users about this? Because I browse codex on mobile fairly often, and the text size is just fine, with no zooming needed. I absolutely reject your claim that this shit is done for my benefit or that I desire it!Right now, the number of Codex users on mobile is nearly 40% already and the number is growing every year. You're making presumptions based on your own usage, which are completely incorrect. The text is too small to read comfortably even on desktops, let alone mobile.
More like armor and face design from Solasta. For some reason, the redesign reminds me of the NPC faces from Elex 2.
I can't edit the styles anymore, so no.@Twiglard can you do anything about the colors? The old alternating gray-blues for posts were #484E5F (darker) and #596171 (lighter). I've found out that nuCodex uses a different font than old codex (Lato vs Tahoma). I've updated my script to use the old font and readability has improved. I'll work on some more stuff tomorrow.
