Needless to say that the shiteaters on Steam will massively download Overwatch 2. It's the store where Call of duty and other shit games are in the top most played games.

The steam page mentions that you will need a bettle.net account though ,so you don't need to install the client but you still need to register

GOG would be even better but I doubt Bliz would go there anytime soon.

They do have their older games there(Warcraft 2 and Diablo 1) but it doesn't seem they are interested in releasing any newer ones there

I'd just be happy for an uncontaminated Warcraft III and maybe Diablo 2 as i didn't run that one after they released the remaster and i have no idea if they fucked that too.

Valve will probably just hide the reviews like they did with Skullgirls.

Edit: they will 100% do it, most reviewers have like 10-15 minutes of in-game time, this is classified as review bombing.

That is a user setting. You can show all reviews. Many players have a lot of hours through the Blizzard launcher as the game released just a couple of days ago on Steam.

All I care is Warcraft 3 - shouldn't buy D2 with LoD when I had to choose back then...

Imagine creating one of the first big desktop launchers in Battle.net and then tanking your brand so hard that you have to put your stuff on Steam (where it's already getting ravaged by negative reviews)

Activision-Blizzard lost their license to directly sell games in China so I think this is the way they are getting around it.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
They would still force you to install and use their launcher though.
Yeah, this is pointless because every Blizzard game in your steam library will just be the same link to open the Battle.net launcher.
Well, at least you'll still have all your games in one library.

On the flipside, instead of one game client you'll now have running two.
