->Top game on steam is literally clicking a jpeg of a banana.
->Most of its playerbase are bots

Are we in a cyberpunk dystopia?

So basically TF2 item botting without any form of gameplay? Creating value out of nothing.

I am again asking who is buying these. This is 100% some organized crime shit.

You mean gold farming? Sanctioned by the devs? Oh god
he means selling it for real money.

gold farmers do exist in other games and make a living selling gold for real money, but it's usually frowned upon and they get banned. In this case, will Valve shut the game down or allow this ponzi scheme to continue?
Depends on how you define "living"

Runescape has always been the most profitable game to gold farm in and even using optimal methods it'll take like 100 hours to make maybe 500$.

Botting profitably is basically impossible now

Wouldn't surprise me if a bunch of the bots are ultimately controlled by the developer. Have them trade "rare" bananas between themselves to create the tulip frenzy, then sell to actual humans caught up in the rush.

I think they should allow this. If someone wants to buy it and indulge in this scam then they deserve what's coming to them.

As a society we're at a point where people are too insulated from the results of their own stupidity. Darwin needs to stretch his legs a bit.
