Metro has an obsession with WoW seeing as how he compares every game to it.

You seem to have an obsession with me. I reference WoW to illustrate how poor some of these modern 'RPGs' are that their mechanics and design are worse than a cardboard cutout MMO.

Hold on playa
So you are comparing WoW with the Witcher?
Holy shit...ok on what level are their quests comparable?

Uh... all of the bounty quests. Trophy head quests. Go here, find X rune stones for that alchemist, etc. etc. The only standout questline in the first game was the murder investigation because that at least depended on the choices you made, some books you read, etc.

Sorry but the on-rails approach of TW kills any illusion of 'sandbox' to me. And really, comparing it to Bloodlines doesn't make much sense. The reason Bloodlines is praised here is because of its multiple character development/playthrough styles and C&C (two things the Witcher lacks in any meaningful quantity). Everyone recognizes Bloodlines has pretty terrible combat and mediocre level design.

WUT

How is Bloodlines not on-rails?

Where did I say it wasn't? I clearly stated everyone here knows Bloodlines has pretty terrible level design. Maybe you just have a really narrow interpretation of 'on-rails.'

No need to get sarcastic. on rails means so linear that that there is only one path to follow. THis can apply to individual quests. The instrument of the path does not matter (the guns) just the path does. Here path means level design route or story choice.

Precisely. There is no fixed definition of 'on-rails' as it's metaphorical language. Its use makes perfect sense in both quest and level/world design.

Also, the best generation was born in the 70's :smug:

Fixed.

It's boring at this point. It was boring in Vice City and it'll be boring and lame here. Being "80's" isn't interesting anymore. every hipster wears faux-80's garbage while yelling "I KNOW ABOUT FLOCK OF SEAGULLS!" these days. It is tired, find something new
But there are no current video games with an 80s cyberpunk aesthetic. I want to get all Bubblegum Crisis in this thing.

Being that Cyberpunk 2077 takes place in the future, there should be enemies called Biodrones.
