Sounds like the Third coming of Christ.

so when i thought that arcanum was both story driven and open world i was wrong?
He did say approaches to "modern gaming" which means how companies deal with the increase in technological power versus how much you can realisitically create for your RPG.

so like arcanum, but with polygons?

Man you people really overthink shit too much.

Imagine Witcher 2. Now imagine that instead of teleporting to a different location when the next chapter starts you walk there manually, and come across small villages and shit with witcher jobs and other side-quests. There ya go, stop getting lost on PR speak.

You forgot one important thing: how walking there manually creates player immersion.

I don't see any overthinking.
I see 2 pages of people trying to figure what "Story-based and open world" means. Is it like x or y?

They're just mocking CDPR for pretending that they're inventing the wheel here.

I think, it's us - Codexrs - who love bitching about nothing who are writing narrative that fit our faulty vision. I mean, they didn't even say they are particularly novel or groundbraking. They only compared what they are trying to achieve with "RPGs nowadays". So, have we had an open-world, story-based game in like 10 years?

Anyways yes, it is good they are using this design. Now let's hear some more incline in this title (But I'm not going to hold my breath). In before QTE combat.

I think after the rabid campaign of their own fanboys AGAINST QTE we can sleep safe in knowledge there won't be any.

Besides, I find QTE issue in TW2 to be completely overblown out of any proportions here - it's not like you couldn't switch the most annoying shit off in options. I am more concerned with the overabundance of cutscenes.

sounds great, can't wait.

though i suspect Dragon Age 3 is attempting the same style now aswell...whoever gets released first will take the title of first (20 year oldfag games notwithstanding)

I always throw my hat with CDPR since they atleast still develop games for the master race unlike those treacherous jews over at B-Ware.
