None of this is going to matter once they start teasing Witcher 4. All will be forgiven, and everyone will be back to sucking that developer dick again. These faggots never learn.
After finishing Geralt's stroy, they will have to do some real writing instead of leeching off the books. I predict a GoT Season 8 level of shittiness.

I want a new Witcher who's not in the books. Also, CDPR's writing in the Witcher series is way better than the TV Show and I personally think that they even handle certain things better than the books. Cyberpunk was a let down in many ways, but I think the writing of its main quests is top notch, so I'm not really worried about CDPR fucking up the writing if they venture from the books. CDPR has better writing than any AAA company working right now.

Implying Cyberpunk 2077 is not a CPRED fanfic with, you guessed it, fanfic-tier writing. CP2077 was their chance to flex on their writing muscles. They decided to do Twitcher thing again with bringing back characters and reopen story arcs from old ass TTRPG. Despite the fact that overaching plot of CP2020 has ended and there was no need to write a sequel to it.

examples of leeching please
Oooh, I dunno, maybe THE ENTIRE SETTING, PLOT, CHARACTERS AND PERSONAL DYNAMICS BETWEEN THEM???
crossed out plot for now. Please show examples of plot leeched from books.

as for the rest - cant see how they would reach got season 8 when nothing here would change. There is no material to run out since nothing is being 'spent'.

I'm talking about Poland here, not the rest of the world.

CDPR is a global company now with employees all over the world and a customer base in which Poles make up a tiny, negligible percentage, so I don't even know why you brought up Poland to begin with. How is a global company with a customer base consisting mostly of people from the US and other western countries "taking a risk" by doing the exact same thing literally every single other global company is doing?

The entire first game was a retelling of the story from the books, with Triss playing the role of Yennefer and Alvin playing the role of Ciri.

ALL major characters are from the books.

ALL romances are from the books.

The antagonist of TW3 is from the books.

All conflicts are from the books. Nilfgaard attacking the Northern Kingdoms while they are politically divided? When has that happened before lol Non-humans waging a losing war on humans? Never seen before! Yennefer and Geralt taming a jinn? So original!

They haven't created anything by themselves in the entire series-no major character, no protagonist, no major conflict, no major romance, not even a major antagonist.

This discussion is moot, if they had good writing or not, when they become gender fluid ex polish citizens and now members of the global western homoborg, CDPR will be Bioware 2.0. Dont worry, with half the staff working on the multiplayer mode and the microtransactions of Witcher 4, there wont be alot of people to implement those quests with all this storyfagness the fanboys like so much, besides, farming crafting components instead of quests is a great opportunity to sell booster packs.

Also pray to God that CDPR cant pay a celebrity like Henry Cavill to show up or you gonna spend 2/3 of the game licking his balls on your "RPG". Jesus Christ, I mocked Bethesda for killing Liam Neelson almost as soon as meeting him but now I see I was mistaken.

that was cool and continuation of my fav witcher story. go away

and is sapkowski introducing such in new books/stories?

still your main comparrison was to got. cdpr already showed that they can grab source material and create something new no? Also unlike with got they were not given tldr version of story closure from the author. There is none. Whole thing is to be milked by creating short stories side quests

Your game can only be as good as the talent you employ and CDPR have lost a lot of good talent since they made TW3

It's not as simple as 'they took everything good from the books'

Frankly I've read some of the Witcher books and they are pretty bad

THey have demonstrated that they can reuse source material characters and conflicts. Not that they can create original ones. Jonny's conflict with Arasaka was not created by CDP. Jonny's character was not created by CDP. They retold an existing story masquerading as a new one.

As for the "great writing" of CP2077-all characters were written as bisexuals and all dialogue felt like the characters was flirting with you. That retard River felt like he wanted to suck V's cock so badly. The Panam whore wanting female V to massage her legs and then claiming she doesn't like women? Yeah wtf. Girls whisper softly while massaging each other's feet all the time nothing seuxal duh

CDPR is becoming the new EA. Let's hope Warhorse Studios won't follow the same route.
Warhorse is now a part of koch media/thq nordic/deep silver/embracer/whatever their other name.
Let's hope Vavra stays strong. I have high expectations for KCD2.

CD fucked shit up when they brought Keanu and expanded his role.
CDPR fucked up when they drank globohomo koolaid and decided to become just like big western companies.

B&W's story was already fanfic tier shit with most of the "lore" made up by the devs, and fanboys will defend it with their teeth, so don't expect any criticism.

When I first played this game I went the Corpo route, and when I sat in a bar my head started to glitch out after some other corpo came up to me and told me I was going to die in 60 seconds unless I handed over some USB drive.

Expecting a bluff, I waited for several minutes to see if I'd die (which would make for nice any% speedrun material), except I didn't. Did they patch the bad end in yet?

Are you really this ignorant or are you just being obnoxious? As RRRrrr put it:
They haven't created anything by themselves in the entire series-no major character, no protagonist, no major conflict, no major romance, not even a major antagonist.
The Nilfgaard invasion of Northern Kingdoms - basically copy-pasted from the books. Prophecy about evil snow coming to freeze everything and Ciri having power to stop it - literally ripped with no alteration from the books. Major characters are just rehashing their arcs from the books. Same love triangle dynamics as in the books. No new conflict introduced in the game that wasn't present and fleshed out in the books. Main plot in the game is basically nonexistent - what is there is just recycling the villain from the books and going through literally the same motions. The writing in the games is overall very poor and unimaginative, leeching heavily from the original work. The game was fucking bad and I'm beyond debating it anymore.
