PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
Everything that's discussed about this game are the bugs. Compare with RDR2 which has/had its own good share of bugs and weird design choices, yet players are in love with its story.

Not everyone of the millions of players is a fanboy, and not everyone in the millions of CP77 players is a hater, but ok.

The thing with their fans is that they'll buy the n-th iteration of GTA and love it no matter what. Like the people who buy the new Fifa every year.

Speaking of which, and of story and writing, most rockstar fans still haven't picked up that their games have had a rehash of the same main character since GTA IV :D

Witcher always blatantly took stuff from other literary works, twisting them around into a new configuration. A Grain of Truth, the second story ever in the series, is a blatant rip off of Beauty and the Beast. It just changes enough finer details around to make it a good take on th story in its own right.

No shit. That was intentional. Several of the original short stories were twists on Fairy Tales. They weren't "rip-offs."

Everything that's discussed about this game are the bugs. Compare with RDR2 which has/had its own good share of bugs and weird design choices, yet players are in love with its story.

That's because most of the bugs in R* games are physics related and since their physics engine is the best on the market those bugs lead to ridiculous moments like glitched swing in GTA IV propelling your car in the air with huge force, borked AI path-finding in GTA V which causes NPCs in cars to suicide drive from highway and explode below or wooden bridge in RDR2 which acts the same like the swings. Those things add additional fun to your time spent with the game. CP2077 only has frustrating or immersion ruining things like save-bloat, broken perks, insta-death from uneven terrain or quests with broken scripts.

CDPR is still trying to figure out how to program a police system, Rockstar is already doing horse balls simulation, they are on another level.

Rockstar is grinding their gears trying to monetize as much of the game as possible. Red Dead Online is dog shit. 10 years and 5 different games and they still can't make a decent experience. GTA: Online is phenomenon - I can't wrap my head around who and why would want to fork real money for just one car that will be obsolete in next 3 months.

Gta5 game critiquing capitalism and pursuit of money with a message that being rich wont make you happy.

Gta5 online game about spending real life money so you can impress random retards from the internet.

Coomers are attached to this game, so it will not fail. Already in nexus CP is becoming one of the most modded, and you have body mods for tits and ass with tens of thousands of comments and replies. CDPR should milk the coomers for all their worth.

Rockstar games are pretty boring overall especially GTA 5 and its loser/psycho main characters. GTA 5 is contaminated from the top down by its parodic nature which disassembles immersion at every turn.

RDR2 was a better effort but it's still easily pipped by The Witcher 3:The Wild Hunt. It's a bit too slow and boring for its own good.

As far as I know Paweł Sasko, the writer/creator of the Bloody Baron and that quest, is still at CDPR (he was head writer on Cyberpunk, I think).

The writer for Bloody Baron was Karolina Stachyra, she left CDPR a few years ago (she works at Techland now).

They both worked on it, but as far as I've read, Sasko created the character of the Baron. There was a profile of him where he talked about how he based him on alcoholics he knew growing up.

Yes, but the original idea Pawel came up with was a bit different, you can learn about it in a recent video about the quest which doubles as an interview with him and Karolina (which also brings up one of my favorite aspects about C&C in Witcher 3 - how you are not immediately sure about what consequences your actions will have).

EDIT: i saw Danikas just posted the video :-P

RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In
I just started the game, because I had nothing else to play and man, is it a chore. Whoever designed the controls and the interface deserves a good hard slap in the face. Also, the core gameplay is just a bad cover-based shooter with bullet sponges. To avoid the boring combat, I started sneaking around and taking enemies down from behind. This worked okay, but at the end of my current mission ("The Pickup"), I cannot sneak past Royce because I get instantly detected, even though he can't see me. I think this is a bug, but I'm not sure what to do about it. Any ideas?

Not sure about that issue, sorry.

But if you don't like the shooting, an alternative to sneaking could be a melee build?

Git gud

But I can give you one solution for a problem with Royce reload the save before you speak with him and if you pick right dialogue options you can kill him in conversation and avoid the boss fight.

The combat is great for a AAA RPG better than Skyrim and Fallout
