Did you level as quickly in the original version? I can’t remember because it’s been so long. Feels like I’m leveling super fast.

I do concede that full auto rifles and combat shotguns will jack your shoulder up under sustained firing. That is more of a pain issue then stamina though.
Just curious, but where and when did you fire in full auto?
I'm thinking: What's the point of vehicle combat perks when it never actually occurs either in the open world or, as far as I remember, during the base game story.
B-but it has vehicle combat, you entitled gamer chud!
This is flat out false. Gangs now shoot each other from vehicles, you can see them as you drive around the city. I've seen it twice already. But I guess you have to play the game...

when I said Cyberunk feels as shallow as a puddle compared to Starfield I was referring to the feeling you get after you’ve been exploring the game for a dozen hours or more.

Everything is a set piece, it is there to give you the illusion of this sprawling city with endless things to discover. But it’s just that, an illusion which becomes apparent after you try interacting with the game world beyond what the game was scripted to allow you to do.
Like I've said before, it's Westworld.
Shiet, and here I thought everything in my PC is reality, now Vic says it's an "illusion"?? Fucking cheats. And I guess in Starfield I actually fly through space?

"Sometimes gangs will shoot from their cars" and "You can aggro the cops to engage in vehicle combat" are completely nonsensical answers, none of those things REQUIRE vehicle perks to work.
If anything the bonuses to cars should have been added to the existing perks, not made separate.

The main problem of that is none of the main story missions were built around actually driving and combat at the same time, so you have to kinda force the thing to happen, if gangs shoot each other thats fine but it's not really something you have to engage, it just feels like it doesn't warrant their own perk points and they removed some perks that were probably much better than something this situational.

They should have redesigned some of the missions so they actually involve this new mechanics but they are lazy to do it.

The vehicle combat isn't there for the existing campaign, PL is supposed to have a bunch of it though.

They just included it here because it improves the game as a whole even if it isn't going out it's way to utilise it.

Texas Gun Experience just outside Dallas, you can rent full auto weapons from them. I was parked in Dallas for work for a few months. It is really common in Texas, unsurprisingly. There are a shit ton of ranges that do the same thing in TX. I think any US state that is very firearm friendly, AZ, UT, NV, etc. you could probably find similar. Shitlib coastal states CA, WA, NY, NJ, MD, etc. you won't find that type of thing. Maybe deeper into VA away from the lefty hive of Northern VA perhaps.

No one in their right mind expected them to redo the main missions. Meanwhile you only have like 50+ gang combat PoIs which you can attack with drive-bys. To each their own, if you don't want to play like this, but the option is there.

I was curious because from experience shared by a friend of mine, firing in full auto is pretty pointless if you want to hit something. AFAIK full auto is meant for suppressive fire in military or some such operations, but I've never delved too much into the question.

bolting doesnt work for me. Previously tech weapons were about slowly destroying your enemies from cover. Charge those shots and release when ready.
Now you are supposed to bolt instead. But when is the time to release? well... either you look for small buff indicator in upper left corner(good luck with that in fps game) or pay close attention to your weapon display. Both are annoying and hard to execute.
Was it to hard to at least provide some audio feedback?

Since you no longer gain access to overcharge, charging is extremely short. And its hard to just git gut as due to bonuses you charge faster as you chain bolts.
It feels like my fav mechanics got butchered

Does the new patch add anything substantial or is it just small tweaks/changes being overhyped again?
