At least when I was banned in the D:OS2 Codex vs. Watch stream the mod bothered to say something.

And I think it's pretty clear at this point that it was the real reason behind his departure. To have an honorable way out. Sometimes you just have to go beyond to norm to save your face. A man's got to do what a man's got to do.
