I know Planescape: Torment was on a few hard drives alongside StarCraft, and some visited the fansites. Interplay was a publisher for many studios early on in their lives, Blizzard was one of them for as back as The Lost Vikings and Blackthorne, and some hardcore StarCraft army checked out other Interplay-published titles from following Blizzard's other works. Why can't drunk people (those who are conscious) give consent? Can we look into it more deeply? Do they become completely different persons when they are drunk? Why should they be free of any responsibilty stemming from their state of mind, including giving consent? We are talking about a situation where a person A says yes to a person's B sexual advances while being under the effect of alcohol. If person A can't give consent in this state, despite saying yes, then it basically removes any responsibilty from this person's actions while being drunk. Under the same standard, a man who rapes a sober woman should also not face any responsibilty, because his drunkenness prevented him from making a decision with a clear mind. Similarly, drunk driving should also not hold any consequences. Does this reasoning not lead into this nightmar reality where people's horrible behavior is excused? Ask yourself this, would you forgive your significan't other their infidelity if it happened while being under the effects of alcohol? I have troubles understanding the reasoning here.

Can people with depression or suffering from extreme sadness give consent? Because those states of mind could also make someone more open to sex. What's more, can men be held responsible for their actions if the chemicals in their brains stemming from sexual arousal affect their brains? What is different from alcohol affecting your judement to hormones doing it?
