You are quite foolish if you make a historic game and dont include civilizations of the countries you sell to. Obviously some are more important than others, but everyone would want to play their own at least once.

Exactly! It always bothered me I couldn't play as Germany in ANY Romance of the Three Kingdoms game. Racist developers. :argh:

Are Romans playable? i saw a lot of civilizations announced but not them

As if the Romans were ever in doubt. ;)
Trajan as their leader might come as something of a surprise, though.

Why call it Civilization at this point... just add all the countries in the world and call it Countries. Better yet, seeing as how shuffling of units is more important than developing long term strategies, call it Countries Tactics. Then we could all stop pretending that these games are the successors of Civ.

Small thing, but I do hope they 'round out' the border edges like they are in Civ5.

I've looked around briefly at a few streams and I think it seems pretty promising. A lot of the mechanics are things I'm pretty excited about. However, there are a lot of problems apparent, from bugs to the wonderful "AI is shit at combat" thing from Civ V.

A few things, like the Eureka tech boost system, are things that I thought sounded good on paper but I fear will be quite tedious when actually playing the game. It's hard to say how the game is balanced obviously but I fear that will just turn into a checklist for things to accomplish in order to play as efficiently as possible instead of being a sorta dynamic gameplay event depending on what's happening in your game.

I think this game will be a much better foundation to stand on than Civ V was at launch but yeah, I'm sure there will be many glaring problems judging from the streams.

Bethesda, Blizzard and Firaxis are the ultimate top 3 of supposedly-AAA mass appeal devs who don't give the slightest of fucks about production values and repeatedly get away with it.

The streams show the same ai civ v had,it might be better in diplomacy thanks to agendas but in terms of tactics it is the same stupid ai.(it even has the same missionary spam it did in v)
Higher difficulties will just add more cheating as it has always been in civ series.
And that is a deal breaker regardless of any good features they add.

It does look like the game will be much more "content-complete" than V on release.
I'll admit I'm pretty interested, all the changes are in a good direction - at least in my book

Yea, it will have basically all features of Civ 5 on release, it is pretty cool. From what I seen almost everything is an upgrade on Civ 5 except graphics. But I can live with that if the gameplay is solid and fun.

I like that there really seems to be quite a lot of different mechanics in this, many different things to consider. From what I've seen I really like the district system. All in all, it seems to go for a bit of a broader approach rather than having one successful path throughout the years (this will probably change once we figure out what's best of course). Many choices to make.

Biggest disappointment is that the AI still seems to be absolutely terrible. Still seems to be extremely helpless.

That motherfucker is one of the most annoying CivVI streamers there is, and that's saying something.

Prefer watching filthyrobot's stream, his ability to conquer an entire continent with 3 archers and a scout told me everything i needed to know about this game.
