question it'd take too long to investigate by myself: can a city not built on the shore but with a district next to the sea build sea units?
this is the single, most retarded thing about civ since its first iteration.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Also, that LP guy sounds like some sort of unwashed commie like Zizek.

Marbozir is actually one of the least annoying among the firaxis affiliated streamers.
This. One of my favourite content creators for the past few years. Also easily the best XCOM LPs out there.

If you can stomach Twitch, Shenryyr is far less annoying and did a stream yesterday - Civ6 starts around 3h35m.

Cool guy but doesn't know jack shit about the game. For some reason Youtubers think because it's fun to watch blind action games LPs it's also fun to watch blind strategy playthroughs. Which it isn't. At all.

Yes. Harbor district. Your city can be 3 tiles to the coast.
was about time.
you know, this could be the first decent civ in a decade.

Sounds just like the game they shamelessly ripped the concept off from took inspiration from, Endless Lengend.

Afaik the first game you could do that in was Warlock.

Actually Empire Total War allowed to make ships in sea ports, and when you didn't have any, you needed to grow a village into proper city to make port.

i was thinking about the latest deus ex, but this applies to everything lately: why do we have to buy any game as soon as it's published? it makes no sense: they're all a mess of bugs, day 1 patches are needed and expected, and then a multitude of dlcs and expansions is going to follow.
i still enjoy deus ex and system shock 2, i barely grew bored of x-com after 20 years, and i see no reason to buy a brand new game.

It's the same with all media. Why buy music, movies or even books on release? For all of these, the "back catalog" is larger than anyone could every hope to consume, still a large part of the market wants to stay current.

This is an interesting strategy. Simultaneously incenting pre-orders and discouraging buying during the first 3 months.

They'll probably have a separate DLC that's only free during the first 90 days.

I guess that's something you could research yourself? And maybe phrase it like "They might look cool, but the mechanics are still shit" if the result didn't agree with you, you know, instead of implying I made any reference to their mechanical result, which I didn't.

The clip show black improvements and they say that radiation will stay for specified amount of turns.

From what I seen of this game it seems to be the same as CivV, but with some changes/improvement to how you build/develop cities.

In terms of looks, I haven't liked any Civ's 'look' since Civ 3, but this is the first one to make me take notice of the look again. I'm a massive Wonder Junkie and just having the Wonders out and on view is a plus in my book, considering, for me, this is a plus from zero.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I've been watching some more gameplay here and there...
I'm really happy about almost everything except the AI which seems to be absolutely retarded and passive, at least in the build the preview guys play.
I mean they can win wars with 3-4 units easily, no resistance at all.
Very weird stuff...

Par for the course, never played Civ 5? Aka best game of all time, 10/10 etc.
