Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I played quite some Civ5 and contrary to the opinion of the Codex, I liked it, after all the DLCs though.
But indeed, that also had bad AI. Supposedly they were working on that but from what I've seen it's even worse now - it doesn't even try..

The preview is locked to Prince difficulty, and that's about how Prince difficulty behaved in Civ 5--yes, the AI is bad and doesn't adjust on difficulty, all that does is the cheating, so in order for that AI to spam you with units (which it still won't use properly, but hey, at least you'll feel intimidated) it needs to have the massive cheats that Deity difficulty enables.

It seems you're right yes. Just to add to that, I created an account in 2k Forums just to ask specifically about that, I created the post and submitted like 3-4 hours ago...it still hasn't passed "moderation".
Not swearing or anything, just wondering if the devs are aware of the passive state of the AI..

Sounds like the moderation team is as passive as the AI. Maybe that's where they got their inspiration.

Hehehe.. After a day or two they did "moderate" it. No official answers of course, at least it's good to see people agreeing there's an obvious issue there.

It's a pity really because the more mechanics I see from Civ 6 , the more I like it. The district system is nicely implemented

I'm not looking forward to this at all, Civ 4 to Civ 5 was such a decline. Seriously, if the AI can't play the game properly what's the point?

It is a gamu, but I too was wondering the other day why it doesn't adhere more to realism - Gandhi as an Indian leader since the start, or whomever else, just a dozen or so leaders when there were thousands of tribes starting out, no merging of cultures, no transitions from one culture to another, nothing.

I remember when Civ I came out and press were calling it an educational tool. Yeah. Well.

edit: I think a better and more realistic game could be made if leaders changed constantly and you as the player just controlled an idea or a concept and the leader was the one that realized it.

Well, if the AI is as bad as V, but at the same time the game itself already looks better than base V did, then it's a net positive.

Why does every leader in Civ VI look so ugly?

Gorgo is a tranny

Trajan has heroine issues

Gandhi has Stewie Griffin head weirdness

Catherine De Medici is so ugly that even a Pig would refuse to deal with her

Qin Shi huang look like the Spider lady of Baldur's Gate

So yeah, they look ugly.

Spain, Norway and Japan leaders look cool, tho.

Who thought it was a good idea to have Brazil instead of Portugal in the game? Why not have Australia and remove Britain? Or include some Siberian tribe instead of Russia?

I don't know what they're trying to achieve with this AI battle. From what I've seen in marb's LP the AI is still embarrassingly bad.

Rigged to let Gorgo win for that powerful GRRL POWER! statement that piece of shit publications can write about.

Absolutely fabulous.

You can absolutely play it safe, musically.

First track for a game ever, in one week - writes Baba motherfuckin Yetu, a glorious piece that becomes the first game song ever to win a Grammy. Basically the Citizen Kane of vidya game menu music.

"A lot" of late nights, probably more than a week - writes the decent but imminently forgettable Generic Latin Strategy Background Music #476658.

That's right, totally not playing it safe there.
