That's a damn good book, but speaking of Amazon I'd also recommend giving this a watch. Nice documentary on D&D art.

Been going on a fucking art spree myself recently. Finally snapped and been buying dozens of fucking art books and I'm loving it even though I'm spending more than I really should. Also for every decently priced book that makes me happy to snap up I inevitably find some that are ungodly expensive even if they're not that old. DiTerlizzi for example put out an art book of his RPG art (Which is obviously to say AD&D and Planescape largely) that I'd love to get my hands on but despite only being around 7 years old the fucker's pushing $100 a copy. Conversely, I picked up a Brom art book for $7 with nice full-page Dark Sun art and Heretic box cover and Doom 2 box cover and all kinds of good shit so who knows. As much as the pricing on some of them chaps my ass, there are enough cheap to reasonable art books out there to make me happy. Even if I'm gradually turning into more of a caricature of a deranged bearded dork with a shelf full of greasy fantasy art books.

Since the thread is also for OSR art here's two of my favorites from the Old-School Essentials books

The fear in the crossbowman's eyes really sells it.

Some of that artwork is just genuinely good, while some of it has this amateurish charm.

Nice posts boys.

I rather like how some of these might not be particularly eye catching, but can give you the impression of a place. In particular, this one:

It is just a village, but it makes a huge difference if you are adventuring in the said village.

Was that Gamma World or was that one of the oddball adventures that gets some future tech in D&D, do you happen to know? Can't say I've seen UZI-roos before but I'd guess Gamma World.

Google says:

A couple of soldiers from Down Under. (James Lawson, from ad in Dragon magazine No. 135, July 1988, for Mutants Down Under, supplement for Heroes Unlimited and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Palladium Books, 1988.)

Neat! Didn't know there was a TMNT RPG then. Stands to reason but I never crossed paths with it.
