He looks like he's going to say "For 15 bucks I'll let you suck both of my tits" if approached.

So..how secure is this HTML 5 stuff for the user? I remember trying to some java stuff long ago and there was no way to save/read back to the local drive. Does HTML 5 allow that?

Reminds me of the game Dink Smallwood (which was made open source).

I discovered Yamaha YM2413 VST a few days ago, and I'm having a blast with it, though I need some time to get used to it.

Here are 2 test remakes of my older tracks (I cheated in the second track and used several layered instances to see how it would sound).

Midgard gives me a light spacesynth vibe for some reason. A heavier beat and you got a nice dance music track. It has a very pronounced melody, would probably be too distracting as background music.

Rice Fields is nice. Is this an improved version of the previous Rice Fields track you made? I like it. It's better without the background drone. This could be a nice background track for a moody swamp area or something. For some reason, this makes me think of the gloomier levels of Hocus Pocus:

It would fit very well with that kind of gloomy, mystical atmosphere.

Well, Midgard theme is a few years old now. I don't remember when I exactly wrote the original track (I think it was autumn 2012 or 2013). This partial remake using YM2413 synth was done as an audio test for a dungeon crawler idea (as a way to stay productive while having ideas that are incompatible with primary project).

Rice Fields remix is not exactly an improved version, since it was also done as a test track (this time I did it to see how layering works, and the track itself is unfinished). But I'm still experimenting with it, and if the atmosphere will be intact, then why not. Also, drone sound in the original track was most likely a mixing screw-up on my side.

Had an idea that I wanted to mess around with as a break from Crypts/Kingdoms of Avaritia and my adventures in Unreal Engine 4 (one second I love it, the next second I hate it...), this is the result of 2 days partial work so it looks really rough around the edges. The idea is that you can direct gravity any direction you want, you shoot with your "gun" and the gravity changes depending on the direction of what you hit. But at the same time there are objects that have their own gravity (spheres, halos and random curved surfaces) which means the player can stick around while other objects are dragged to towards the global gravity.

That's got Portal money written all over it.

Well I don't know about that, but thank you for the complement! It is actually hard to make the game not to be similar to Portal, they have already done so much cool stuff in that game so one really have to think hard to come up with something new. At least it seems pretty doable to finish this game in a relatively short time frame (compared to my other project) so I will probably put some effort into it the coming days. Which leads me to the next video! Just some small changes, spheres now act like planets "once shot at", pulling objects towards itself. Gravity of the player is now also completely separate from the other objects' gravity, each controlled by left and right mouse click. Also starting to add other elements such as magnets (the green small sphere) but I have yet only spent 5 minutes writing the code for those, so they need lots of polish to work as intended.

I have no idea what is going on in that video. What's the yellow line? What the big arrow thing supposed to represent?

Some commentary would be nice explaining what is going on.

The yellow line shows exactly where the aimpoint is for the "gravity gun." The line coming off the end shows "up" (line opposite new gravity direction if you click). Dunno about the arrow.

Like Ninjerk said, the yellow line is your aim and shows you the inverse normal to the new gravity that will be applied, in its current form it is used for debugging but something similar will probably be required to help the player navigate.

The big white arrow used to represent the global gravity (again for debugging and helping to orient the player) but is now broken, will have to fix the math to get it working correctly.
