No. Unity has a tendency to blur textures at a distance (I notice this with the wall textures sometimes too). If anyone knows how to turn that off, I would love to know. Could be a camera setting, I suppose.
Texture import settings > Set Anisotropic Filtering to the max.

Texture import settings > Texture type: Advanced > untick "Generate Mipmaps".

I should have made hitting the shield more penalizing. hit shield = turn over.
Did some landscaping with the assets I've been working on. Still deciding if the buildings need more or less detail on the geometry/textures.

In case you won't have the strength to make a full-scale RPG on your first try, you can always go Virtual Hydlide.
