The land of ice and snow.
Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I helped put crap in Monomyth
By the way bros, which dialogue window do you prefer?
1st one.

ALSO... can you program something of the sort that when I press C to access one of my companions, and then I press "I" or move to inventory, that it keeps the same character?

It's one of those QOL features that is so simple, and it just makes the game so much better.

Eh tried the game till Habitat and Evasion is bad. Fundamentally the reason it can "work" is because you have 2-3 other companions probably and basically just out damage so that your unreliable defensive option can actually hold before you die.

Objectively speaking armor is still better and there is almost 0 reason to invest in Evasion build unless you really want to: it is just objectively worse in doing the same job (basically effective HP against enemies).

Probably low STR stealth build might want evasion when you solo sneak somewhere but it is a skill tailored to a very narrow playstyle currently.

what kind of faggot are you that you go through the effort to delete your feats and companions in this screenshot? what do you think it would matter?
is this post like those boys in school who pull a girls hair they like to get attention?
lately ive been dangerously into fembois and traps... not even futa, its disgusting!

i also appreciate good visuals in gross contrast to your bull, vd, and his atrocious produce, who dared to release this level to the public:
014DkTU.jpeg

hence i removed the visual clutter in teh screenshot, which by the way has one of the ugliest ui's i have !ever! seen
mainframe terminals from the 80s had more colors

and third it takes 0 effort because im not a computer illiterate mouth breather and mouse clicker,
who played a terrible game, got shit in his mouth and liked it

Question that I have: why cant I reapply poison with grenades? You get built in immunity? Meanwhile brainz grenade can be reapplied for 5 dot

no, i just realize that you hardly figured out the game mechanics but pretend that you do to complain. and of course looking at your builds could make that obvious.

btw send tits if you are a girl. i don't believe you, faggot.

Hey bro, I just want you to know, you're trying way too hard to fit in. I don't want you to strain your brain organ and have a stroke mid way with this homosexual try hard role play; so just so you know, no one is impressed with this shit.

Are there any text-heavy games released in the past 15 years that you consider well-written?
we'd have to define whats well-written...
cs is not text-heavy if you dont count the terrible datapads/screens loredumps (i didnt read them lol)
underrail is better than cs, its coherent and has character
i heard witcher 3 is not retarded

id personally evaluate writing on structure, not even on prose first
first priority would be something like a central dramatic argument for character motivation, for characters existing inside the plot, including yours
but neither aod nor cs have characters or a plot, well aod has some character
ja2 has more plot and character than all of vd's sad autistic output

if information in form of a text exists but it is not entertaining to read, ie i dont want to read it for enjoyment -> its shit
and i didnt want to read any of cs text and i didnt care about anything in it, its garbage

I agree and i discussed problems with Evasion not "working" at lenght.

But it is not main problem of CS.
Rushed ending (teleport-check-teleport), empty and barren locations with few quests and interactions, dialogues not being meaningful, boring forgettable NPCs, badly written start (you just respawn in room and go adventuring) etc. are reasons why Colony Ship is decline. Not just evasion and lack of combat balance.

Another way to look at some of the impressions is that while AOD and CSG both feature trademark VD characters, there's a lot less of a sharp edge for the CSG player. In AOD, the first few people you meet all basically punch you in the nose and scream THIS IS A HARD TOWN KID, GET SMART OR GET FUCKED. There's not too much of that in CSG; people are jaded and world-weary, but they're mostly going to answer your questions, give you quests, and honour their side of the deal.

Imagine if the mild-mannered colourless Tanner, who is your MQ handler, was instead a Miltiades type.

Next playthrough I'm going to see how many occasions the player is significantly lied to, betrayed, played for a fool, but I think this is one of the big things that made AOD special that is less pronounced in CSG. Maybe this time I'll see the whole Matheson arc to the end and take a look there.

That's a really good point. I do agree that Colony Ship does lack a certain flair, that bite so to speak, in which Age of Decadence had. However, I attribute this mainly to difference of setting. Age of Decadence is a portrayal of an Empire on its last legs, falling apart, teetering on the edge; a decaying corpse rotten by excess, corruption, and a perversion on morality. This is a direct parallel to the great decline that the Roman Empire itself suffered from. In AoD every person was a conniving cutthroat conspiring against each other only looking out for their own interests; hence the competing houses vying for control, the merchants indulging in political intrigue to profit themselves, etc. Even the Imperial Guard wasn't free from this as you had that one general that wanted to take over Teron for petty glory. The point I'm trying to make is that this was all in service to the setting.

In Colony Ship the ship borne are united in the greater themes of the Mission: to colonize Proxima, to make this century long voyage worth a damn, to justify the sacrifice. Yes you have the whole inter-factional conflict, however, even then, each of these factions still believe in the Mission in one capacity or another.

I also think Vince may, consciously or not, have worn down some of his rough edges through the never-ending stream of complaints about the difficulty in AoD.

AoD knocking your proverbial dick in the dirt was great, I hope that sensibility stays alive and well in ITS's games.

I hope so too. VD's writing adds so much character to the games. It's such a fresh of breath air when I get a metaphorical punch in the gut then left grasping for air as I then get kicked and thrown to the alligators. So much more entertaining than all the watered down safe inoffensive crap developers usually go for in regards to their world design.

Question: What's the deal with the Moore "appraisals" guy? I never get any option to appraise anything.

On the endings:
What are the endings?

Are they all/most accessible after reaching the bridge?
I just had the cybermonks take over, since they seemed the only ones not completely retarded, and went with the orderly colonization of Proxima B.

I assume force landing all the ship sections will lead to major loss of life.
Landing on your own seems dumb (maybe the native chicks are hot?)
And sending the ship back seems like the troll ending.

I assume there are faction specific routes?
