Whats been said about the expected rating of the game? Is Oblivion for Teens or adults (M)?

Yeah they probably saw one minute of the combat, watched the guy hack another guy, and figured, 'yep it's Morrowind all over again'. Next time they should at least play the game before fucking criticizing it.

I find it funny you fault other people on making knee-jerk reactions and criticizing.

Anyway, like always, Gothic 3 will be better in yet another aspect.

In the trailer blood splurts when he hits a zombie (maybe other things too, I just remember the zombie off the top of my head), and blood gets on the swords as well.
We have blood spray when an enemy is hit. Blood will also get applied to weapons, and get splattered on landscape, nearby objects, and the characters' bodies themselves.
Nice, so I can look like a Jeep that just ran through a swamp with mud all over it, but instead it’s my character covered in blood. Hmm… cool eye candy.

As long as skeletons don't splatter blood as well, like in Gothic. I ain't sure about the zombies either.

No skeletons already have dust clouds instead of blood, just like in Morrowind. And the cool thing about skeletons now is that they break apart and their bones go rolling all over the place when they die.

That's the thing, isn't it? You can kiss all those blood FX goodbye if Bethesda decides to try for a "T" rating like with Morrowind, in all its lameness.

I'd like full out model damage for a game in this day and age, but even simple skin damage/bloodstain FX would be nice.

I still haven't heard definitive word about the bumpmapped nipples.

Not sure if you're serious, but no to decapitations. That was in one of the many interviews I've read recently. I think it was with Todd Howard. MSFD or Kathode will hopefully see this and give confirmation.

There's nothing saying that you couldn't have the blood as well as having the option to turn it off (and lock it). That'd allow for all of the fun, and still keep the rating lower. Not sure what the precedents are like though (How it affects the rating, I mean).

Well, there goes the idea of having my own unique collection of skulls. :(

I can do mounted horseback combat though, right? Just like Mount & Blade?

You can buy mounts and houses for an insane amount of money, but i haven't heard any details about mounted combat.

Nah, the ability to sneak up to someone and slit their throat is vastly superior.
That's the one thing I missed in Gothic. What's a shaving knive good for if not cold-blooded murder?

"Longer than we have" is the best answer I can give you, with the game due to ship this coming Winter (Northern hemisphere :) ).
