CDproject compensating for not having any blacks in Witcher 3?
Either this or they only have one district finished.

Oh, and CDPRs engine, their artists, or to be precies, the games skin materials (be it blacks jacket or supposedly natural-looking skin armor or his finers) bring back the year 2007, it's this badly rendered.

"Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't have in-game preorder bonuses because CDPR wants everyone to get access to everything"

Everyone having access to everything? Ray tracing and proprietary nVidia Gameworks say hello.

Raytracing is not an Nvidia technology.

I must've missed something, does Radeon have an implementation too? (Or are you referring to raytracing in general? That's old of course. Bit academic in this context though if it can't be done real-time.)

Nvidia just added dedicated hardware for raytracing calculations, so-called RT cores. The API for raytracing in DX12 is called DXR and it's AMDs problem they can't add drivers support for software raytracing for at least their first RDNA GPU 5700/XT.
Nvidia on the other hand have added raytracing support for GTX 10xx and 16xx. The result is not pretty because Pascal and Turing on it's own are crap but it is there. It's up to CDPR to follow suit and unlock RT for GTX GPUs.

The dedicated hardware is kind of the crux of the matter though, isn't it? It's not very useful (for games) if it can't hold a consistent framerate. (I looked at some tests of the 1080 Ti with software raytracing for FX only and I don't think I'd want to actually play a game with it enabled on it -- frame rate seems to average around 25 with a ton of variability.)

You don't play games for smooth gameplay. You play them just to oogle at the effects and immerse yourself in the realism! Just ask the media!
What's wrong with you?!

Nobody asks for cranking up the settings up to all ultra, med-to-high depending on whether you're playing Metro Exodus or not gives an alright result. Besides, there always was a question about how to spend all those GPU powers on 1080p and is it necessary to buy a GTX 1080. The answer is raytracing.

>Nvidia adds something new for a change in modern rendering pipeline.
>people are seething
>Nvidia adds driver support for non-RTX GPUs
>b-but muh 700$ shitty Pascal GPUs is shtrong, why the fps loss?!!!
>still seething

That's why we had to wait for shader support for another several years after GeForce 3 ti. You.
And without RTX, radeons are better GPUs. Period.

how a damper on a melee weapon works? :)

"A damper on guns, as well as some melee weapons" != "A damper on guns, as well as on some melee weapons"

Personally, I'm going to buy a 2080ti in order to experience android prostitutes in their full graphics quality.

Go on, rate me dumb, you jealous fucks! :D

Anyone know how the box version will be sold? Will it be codes only? (gog) or will it be DRM free on the disc?
