This guy's a lying faggot. 1 month before Witcher 3 release he was telling everyone on the forums how the game wasn't downgraded and looked exactly like E3 2014 footage on PC ultra settings.

Good art ...changes you, it shapes minds and ideologies, it's not simply entertainment, if it was it wouldn't have been censored so heavily by authoritarian regimes.
A Dance with Rogues.
From what i can see its a mod completely built to be a "sexy time" game in NWN module. Cant really say how it all plays out but from what i can see on the wiki there is one unavoidable rape in the prologue which seems to be dumb in its execution and the consequences. But, thats an entire game (mod) specifically written to explore such themes.

I don't care? My character was murdered or beaten up thousands times, imprisoned dozens of times, and I didn't care. Why should I treat rape specially?
There is some weird shit going on with rape. It's not "worse than death". It's not "worse than torture". It's evil, but it's not special.
I guess you need to experience it to know. Go get yourself raped.
I was specifically criticizing a rape scene forced as a cheap cash grab, as a "shocking" notoriety shtick, in a game where it has no place while it goes against the established characterization of that character.

As for "i dont care" its not much of an argument, since if thats how you would react to it, it makes the scene pointless.
Your character doesnt really get murdered since you can reload, and it only happens if you mess up something, not in a cutscene where you cant do anything.
Slight differences there...

It's not a bad fap.
Yes... its obvious you cant get our of that loop of retardation in your head.

Graphics are often subjective which is easy think to lie about.
Lying about features is different thing altogether you can't "it is subjective" and wash it away.

Though game is still WIP so maybe they will cut it out which wouldn't be nothing new in game dev.

It's one of the best mods and the most original in terms of writing. Many people played it, yet nobody was disgusted by the rape scene at the beginning happening to your character.

Also, FEAR 2.

I agree that ADWR is well worth playing, but the rape in the module has been criticized and especially the mandatory rape in the intro.

Because thats what the game is supposed to be about.
Fear 2? Cant remember any such scene... but there is something hazy, was it alma that got raped, or our character by alma..? something?

Try to get im not arguing against rape being in the games for fuck sake... Im criticizing that attempt to sell a game as Lara Croft raping "shocking scene" game, instead of actually making a good Tomb Raider game.

If they're going to double the world size by projecting some of it's parts into cyberspace, then devs are insane. Can't imagine amount of work required. But I guess they made something as big as W3 so maybe we'll get some matrix.

And it was pointless, dumb and done lousily, as far as i remember, in some weird flashes and "horror hallucinations" like scene. Something like that.
I find both Fears laughable, for hilarious "horror moments" and hilariously dumb Ai, which was marketed as special. And that scene had the same effect. Lol wut?

I highly doubt it. I would guess security systems of places you need to get into could have cyberspace extensions so netrunners have something more to do, but then again that would mean that content is gated by skills which is a big nono in "rpgs".

FFS I want Uplink style hacking in a game finally.

I want hacking like in Neuromancer, the book, for fuck's sake.

Who in their right mind would want Uplink style of hacking?

If we think about it, we already have virtual chats and rooms irl, and in a setting like this people should probably spend half of the time rigged into the web. Like another world, or at least the barrier between real and cyberspace should be thin, like in GITS. But usually we just shoot baddies in real space and cyberspace is presented as some minigame or abstraction.

It shouldn't be like this. Poland must can into cyberworld.

If they are trying to replicate the city into cyberspace, they can just take the map and put some cybery color filter over it, so I wouldn't say it's *that* much work.

Wouldn't it be better as its own space? Like jacking into a digital chat room like Ghost in The Shell.

It depends on what they are going for and what purpose cyberspace will serve. I'd prefer it not be some sort of doubling of the city map with the same sort of gameplay but more cybery, though people in hell would also prefer some ice water.

Go get yourself killed or tortured if you think being killed or tortured in a game is OK. Exactly as stupid argument as yours.

As for "i dont care" its not much of an argument, since if thats how you would react to it, it makes the scene pointless.

Killing the player for no narrative reason is ok. Raping the player for no narrative reason is not. Why? What's so special and tabu about rape that it doesn't also work on torture, murder, violence?

Your character doesnt really get murdered since you can reload, and it only happens if you mess up something, not in a cutscene where you cant do anything.
Slight differences there...

You can reload after the rape too. And there are scenes of torture, sometimes even death that you can't escape in some games. And characters die in cutscenes. Even in Witcher 2 and 3 it was possible. Witcher 2 starts with Geralt being beaten for no good reason, and you can't do anything to stop it in that moment.

Generally people have no problems with all of these (unlesss it happens to a women, then some of the people calling for equality of genders protest because violence should only happen to men for us to have real equality).

Let's face it - you're protesting the rape not some artistic values. I just want to know what's so special about rape that people can't handle it, when they handle murder and torture no problem. It's insane.

No its not. Its your stupid argument about how you dont care about any of it and i never said i think "getting killed and tortured in a game is OK". You are confusing your own thoughts for what i am saying.

Let's face it
Face my whole reply and read it again, moron. Instead of telling me what i actually mean, maybe youll get it if you dont skip over parts that dont align with your idiotic strawman hallucinations.

I know... it would be nice but, you would have to build a whole second world with its own rules and mechanics, that nobody has yet successfully visualized.
Maybe it could be done in a movie - theoretically - because it would basically amount to several minutes of screen time, but the whole game of content...
Ill be happy if they just dont fuck it up and we get some dumb mini games again.

Its hard to even speculate when we dont know how skills work at all just yet.

If they are trying to replicate the city into cyberspace, they can just take the map and put some cybery color filter over it, so I wouldn't say it's *that* much work.
That wouldnt be much work but it would be cheap, laughable and pointless rendition.

The demo for Cyberpunk 2077 shown to press at E3 was pretty neat. It displayed CD Projekt Red’s upcoming first-person neo-noir RPG as a promising city of cybernetically enhanced mercenaries, dodgy information brokers, and corporate maniacs. Without a doubt, that demo will be shown to the rest of the public soon.

They won't show it, they didn't show the Witcher 3 one way back when.

Rape is not the same kind of crime as murder. Watching your character get his arm sliced off and dying from bleeding isn't the same as watching him/her get raped. It just isn't the same.

Same with torture.

Getting murdered causes you to cease to exist, but a game can't portray that effectively. I mean, unless the game kills you.

Rape on the other hand is quite a psychological crime as much as it involves physical pain, and a game can effectively portray that, I think. I mean, to an extent.

So comparing murder and rape is misleading, in my opinion.

However, to say that rape is worse than ceasing to exist... I don't think that's a clear cut thing. You can recover from rape, survive it. You can't do shit if you're dead.

There's an interesting philosophical discussion here if you guys would just calm down a bit, and stop trying to 'win' the argument..
