They never did it, look at the marketing of the Witcher 2 and 3 there was no demo, press and retard youtubers got to play the game 2 weeks before release and that was it, rest of the presentations were always hands off.Honestly , i doubt it CDPR gonna show anything this year. If they wanted or was more confident on their game, they could very well let people actually play and post their impression just like Outer worlds previews.
I mean , they seems so afraid that even a 15 minutes Gameplay instead of actually showing they just saying "its a rpg, serious, trust us 100% RPG , ton of choices and have ton of different ways to play" and cut the shit out of it.
And IMO, they shouldn't.Honestly , i doubt it CDPR gonna show anything this year.
Are you really surprised that they are afraid to show anything? You can't please everyone and people are ready to rip their guts on every minor detail. I guess that's the inevitable price you pay for hype.I mean , they seems so afraid that even a 15 minutes Gameplay instead of actually showing
They should just take note from Rockstar if this game is a succes, Rdr 2 only had 10 minutes worth of trailers before release. Are you really surprised that they are afraid to show anything? They had a whole series of posts in their cyberpunk.net blog in 2013 about their inspirations and design process behind adapting P&P system to the video game format. Key word is "adapting".I swear i remember thinking its gonna be like fallout/arcanum deep only with super high production values and in this cool dark city from the reveal trailer.
There must have been something they said...or maybe i was just young and naive
will sex scenes also be first person?
just when i thought i was out, they pull me back in
Next surprise will be Maaya Sakamoto. So as far as I know, next bone will be thrown at us next week at Tokyo Game Show, is that correct?

"We decided to skip all customisation due to players not being able to see their character in first person. So now, while playing the game, you will always have a visual reference from promotion materials. Aint we great."My bet is they can't figure out a way to make great facial animation like they did in Witcher 3 for a player created character, so they just cut it out as a whole so they don't have to worry about it.
I won't even be surprised if they ditch the already very half-assed body and facial customise system and just use the guy from the cover as protagonist.
Nvidia boasted on Twitter that yesterday's Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay was captured using a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GPU with ray tracing technology.

The claim right now is that there will be no 3rd person in CP2077, not even in cutscenes and conversations. I don't really like that idea. But it will save them an awful lot of money animating a *now-customizeable, unlike in Witcher 3* face. Also an awful lot of time, which might be more important right now.
Cyberpunk was never going to be isometric. That's just nonsense. Very much doubt that was ever even proposed.
Cyberpunk2077 was literally hailed as PnP conversion. Isometric. top down or any other view is irrelevant to this case. You had game director telling in one of polish interviews about how they will convert whole game from PnP into game. Fixing classes, modernizing setting, challenge to some of classes that works well in PnP but could be troublesome in crpg etc. I said isometric because this is basically what people call this days camera that is not third person or first person. It was supposed to be what BG2 was to D&D.
Obviously like i said earlier when they saw bank after TW3 naturally doing TW3 with guns is better for them.
here cunts for all of you interview for polish gram.pl with Mateusz Kanik (cb2077 game director at the time) after they shown first trailer for 2077. I once translated key points somewhere here in one of codex threads.
some key points:
- systems based of 2020
- they completely ignore v3 setting.
- rebalance classes saying some were to good in 2020
- player character creation
- interviewer disses Betsheda on fallout saying Obsidian Fallout because Betsheda doesn't do RPGs.:D
- sandbox
They are paying him some good bitcoin and a free collectors edition for itShillfinitron is at it again, disagreeing with facts & logic, as if it was a powerful spell against him. Yes, it was ensured by none other than MIKE PONDSMITH that CP2077 rp system will not just be deeper than The Witcher 3 but following very close to the P&P.
Interview is from 10/2012 direction changed after Witcher 3 succes probably. Dude from the intreview still works at Cdpr but he got demoted from game director to principal designer in 2016.To set the record on whether the game was ever going to be anything more than an action RPG, there is this post from Perkel:
