I'm well aware of this being an Apathy Simulator in more than just game mechanics.

Even so it's so obvious that I'm a search result and other people are calling them on it.

I have certainly had far more fun watching their pathetic squirming than I ever did hitting the Breakthrough button and watching a screen of enemies die. I'd even say I found it more entertaining than making a real game out of it.

And when they die (which, even without clusterfuck explosions should be a week after release, max) well I have plenty of other games waiting. Not including Underrail, I didn't buy that one.

If their behavior patterns are any indication they'll cross the line and commit another real world crime and my money will be spent on the legal costs of putting them in The Darkest Dungeon instead of video games. Also, if I ever vanish off the internet you know who killed me.

Once it does die it's more likely I'd leave entirely, as the Codex behaves so erratically I don't think we could have normal discussions.

Yea, me too. I had my fun with it (i played months ago when it supposedly was still "promising") but the price (i mean literally in as in $) was a bit too high. On the other hand - this game has really top notch graphic style and atmosphere so i don't feel that bad. It was good for what it was.

Likewise. I cringe that I was autistic enough to get this at full price.

I blame the Codex... as always . Some people here - and not shitposters - advertised it.

You could fit here very well. This place is full of people who once were full of rage against dishonest developers or greedy publishers or whatever. Just like you... well, maybe a little less passionate in most cases but the point stands. They are now all disillusioned old farts (or young farts but still disillusioned). Once you calm down a bit... you will be a perfect addition to this place. Place full of deranged and crazy individuals (mind you - i'm not excluding myself).

The only thing you need is a little better knoweldge of crpg genre as a whole (as in games older than those made in the past few years, many of them are still great and better than most recent stuff, Codex can help you discover them ). However this is not absolutely necessary, we have people who genuinely like Bethesda's hiking simulators or think that Witcher is the best thing in the world since sliced bread so even if you are an ignorant cunt you will fit in. We are very inclusive, you know... if you can survive past the initial culture shock that is. We have or had in the past at least two trannies, mad bombers modders, an Andhaira, a Cleve and a lot more. Very inclusive as i said.

I'm already pretty disillusioned and jaded. Except about this, because I made the mistake of not being disillusioned and jaded about it. The fact of the matter is 1: I missed out on the really old CRPGs because I didn't have a PC. 2: I missed out on the kind of old ones because I only did D&D then. 3: By the time I really started looking at CRPGs most of the modern ones were junk and because of that whole disillusioned thing a lot of new and old ones fly under my radar. 4: Console RPGs are generally unremarkable and always have been. All of which means finding games I care about and are something I'd be interested in and find remarkable is a very rare thing because I don't give any fucks about Bethesda junk or Witcher x the Witchporning.

A few things have caught my attention and got bought. I don't think I'll discuss them much here though because this forum is pretty fucking bipolar about nerdrage.
