Personally I am extremely happy for Bluepoint's success and cant wait to see their work on the rumored Bloodborne remake... Oh wait, they were working in a live service game that was cancelled and will probably have a big number of layoffs in the coming months.

Bloodborne is fine as is. It can stay put. I will make sure we get some more cease and desists piled ontop of that brokedick faggot PC theft. PC gaymers don't deserve Bloodborne.

I chuckled when I heard THAT was what they were developing for the past 5 years. Maybe we'll see their demake of Bloodborne in 2030 at this rate.

You know when SumDumbAss was saying Dark Soles Tew best gaem evar you could at least concede that the game was still good relative to most other shit and would have been great if they actually finished it but this is indefensible. Demon Soles Regayke? Dayum.

Nooo Bluepoint don't ruin this!

Do you realize that you're changing the goalpost, right?

At first you said changes in the remake were trivial. Now you're trying to justify them saying they were for the better.

A few steps more and you will start saying the original game was bad and these guys fixed everything. Proving people right when they say remakes are an attempt to overwrite the original creators' vision and that's why they should be called out.

The problem of the remake is they didn't make enough changes. Not nearly enough.

Here's what I said five years ago, everything still stands

Demon's Souls is just as much in need of a proper remake as DS1. There are major gameplay ooofs that scream for fixing - broken magic, awful UI and inventory, the terrible world tendency system (great idea, awful execution), the healing system (the DS-style rechargeable flask is vastly superior to the DeS/BB system), the retarded weapon upgrade system, the unnecessarily arcane crystal lizard system, the armour/poise system needs a complete rework (preferably in the DS2 style), useless mechanics like poison or bleed, absence of jumping, terrible PvP and a host of other minor issues (weapon balance, enemy encounters, build variety etc.).

And also, to be perfectly honest, I love the DeS gimmicky bosses, it's a wonderful reprieve from the fast jumping knight archetype spam in DS3, but many of them need some serious updating or even a straight up overhaul because in this day and age they'd be seen as extremely janky and lulzy.

They didn't change anything really important. Yes they replaced the original unique music with some generic crap and blizzardized a bunch of unique enemy designs but the real problem of the Remake is that they sticked too damn close to the original, keeping with stupid reverence even crap people had been complaining about for over a decade. You want original, go play original, it's still good. I'd expect more effort and imagination and value from a remake like this.

They changed art direction for the worse.

The crestfallen knight is a basketball american. Do you want even more changes? maybe a troon Maiden in Black, womyn Patches and queer False King Allant? Is that your concept of improving a game?

I´m out of patience with all the normies not seeing subversion and adulteration by evil people of the good things made by talented creators.

If Bluepoint are so monocled why they don´t create their own game with their vision, so we can see a real masterpiece of wokeness. They can´t create anything, they are parasites hired to spoil the legacy of a classic like Demon´s Souls, robbing us of a simple remaster of the original.

Luckily their remake will be forgotten in few years, and remain as a small anecdote in gaming history, while people play flawed gem Demon´s Souls in emulation for decades.

I wouldn't bitch about the Remake if it was actually a remake, a different game based on the original, like the recent Resident Evil remakes. Then it would be just another new game I'm not interested in. But the way the did it, Sony promoted it as the definitive way to play the game, like it's a better version, while technically and mechanically it's the same game, but with worse art and audio design.
