D4 is more like POE so it's a different game than D3.
That's what D4 is essentialy, a POE made by proper developers.
So I expect it to be good.
Fucking mongos. Some useless color compression/sharpness filters and panties are all wet. Nothing shown about D4 so far, nothing Blizzard has ever done, should make you think D4 could ever be "more like PoE".

Diablo 4 pretty much doesn't exist. Every time footage of the gameplay has been shown, shit looks like a barebones technical demo at best and nearly completely different from the last time.

The only "hell" this series will be re-visiting is the development kind.

Yes, the story is going to be amazing. I got the official script from Blizzard and it made me sob with joy. Here's how it goes:

The seven arch-demons have been reborn and now you have to re-kill them all again, with Diablo xirself as the final boss. But also - probably some angels have also gone evil, and you have to kill them too, in the DLC. Also, as an added bonus, you may come across the heroes of Diablo III, who have all been possessed by demons in the interim, and kill them. At the end of the game something happens that releases the essence of the slain evils, cue in anticipation for Diablo V.

If this "story" isn't worth living for, I don't know what is.

They all combine and you fight Tathamet and Anu. Later you become so DBZ powerful they combine to become the Supreme Creator. When you win you absorb them and become the new Mega Ultra Supreme Creator. DIABLO 5 & Diablo 6.66

"Tathamet battled Anu, and when the two beings died the seven heads of Tathamet became the seven Great Evils. The three most prominent heads became Diablo, Mephisto and Baal, and the four lesser heads Azmodan, Belial, Andariel and Duriel. Tathamet's body meanwhile became the foundation for the Burning Hells."

Diablo 3 was a game whose target audience was brain damaged idiots. It had 1 weapon stat, 1 build path for each class where game picked skills automatically. You could not even pick the fucking attributes by yourself.

So if you were retarded enough to like Diablo 3, you will enjoy eating up the fecal matter that Diablo 4 will inevitably end up as.

Oh god, I hope they will still be able to release Diablo Immortal!

Don't worry. The Chinese division of Activision is being kept in check by mandatory mental and physical exercises, no vacations, a pure hatred for art and suicide nets.

That's shit I didn't know. I never got passed "online only" bullcrap.
He's talking utter nonsense anyway. It's like saying nu-Doom was made for braindead retards while OG was made for highbrow audience. Yeah right. A pretentious faggot. Not to mention that he doesn't actually know shit about D3.
D4 is D3 running on D3's v1.2 engine.

and to think that for a minute, I had hopes for it
I don't see the problem in using improved version of the old engine instead of a brand new one. Was made by modern Blizzard in general is a completely another story though.

Nothing can reach the gameplay depth of diablo 2. You allocate points to strength or dexterity to equip weapons. You also increase your vitality if you aren't ranged! Such depth.
While Diablo 3 allows you to use four different skills with various modifications, the greatness of Diablo 2 consists in using only one (1) skill for the entire duration of the game.

retaining the engine retains the gameplay feel of the game

this plus retaining some of the gameplay design decisions and mechanics , you have a game that feels and plays like the predecessor, even if the graphics are somewhat different.

and to think of it, the graphics in essence end ethos are pretty much the same as D3's.
the only difference is the polygon count and the color palette.

but the flashy effects that transforms combat into a clown world stayed the same.

also... audio
after seeing that video, quickly I came across some combat footage from D1 in caves and it blew me away how the audio was more crisp and not full of fuckin noise.
the sound hitting and the monsters moaning was not lost in a cacophony of 100+ skills and other effects going all at once.
listening the gameplay of D4 is like listening a cascade.
after a time it becomes white noise

Make the Codex Great Again!
Oh god, I hope they will still be able to release Diablo Immortal!

Ah the opening ceremony of 2018, when even the most die-hard Blizzard sycophants were stunned over the tone-deaf and stupid announcement of Diablo for phones.

The game became a meme.

While Diablo 3 allows you to use four different skills with various modifications, the greatness of Diablo 2 consists in using only one (1) skill for the entire duration of the game.

Take your ableist politics somewhere else, this is a gaming forum.
