They contracted Angry Joe? :declining: I'm not even watching it to find out.
At this point I wouldn't hold it against them if they contracted fucking Satan himself*, if only that brings more money to the project.

I have to admit I am impressed how fast AJ uploaded his video, especially compared to that TotalBiscuit guy. I might even watch it, even if I can't stand the guy.

* still better than EA
This. At this point it doesn't matter where the money comes from much, as long as it does. Maybe AJ's fans will discover a new company with different ways of making things, maybe they'll try DKS, and then maybe they'll try other things, and find out that it's not only Skyrim, Oblivion, Mass Effect and Final Fantasy. And yeah, AJ was at least good enough to be fast to act when time is actually important.

Gonna watch the video and hope he does the game justice. I understood he was excited about it, at least, considering the Twitter post someone cited earlier.

Oh sorry, I took it from some post on another forum that was posted last night there...

Should have looked at the date, I guess. Now I feel stupid...

Angry Joe gets alot of flack for his Fallout 3 review but he isn't that bad all the time. He , at least, enjoy turn based games and don't rage quit after 2 min.

I hope 800k is not impossible even at this point. Say what you will about Angry Joe, but him giving them a nod seems to have helped quite a bit. Let's hope TotalBiscuit video will also come today and gives the project a nice little push too.

I wouldn't know. I find his persona so annoying, I wasn't able to watch any of his videos, even if they were about games I liked.
I will probably grit my teeth and make an exception when it comes to D:OS. Gotta keep self-hype fuelled somehow.

I wonder if Yahtzee has been contacted, too. Sure, he's past his prime but every little bit helps.

Guy doesn't understand the difference between singleplayer and multiplayer . He kept calling co-op games single player and complaining that they didn't have a multi player mode. He also was of an opinion that console version of DA2 which is even more arcadeish than the PC one had awesome presentation and combat mechanic. And sung high praise for the J.J Abrams Star Trek movie as best ST movie ever made. Lens flare and explosions are enough to satisfy him. Seriously, fuck that guy.

I don't think he does previews. Also, he's not too keen on RPGs in general.

EDIT: Damn You, Infinitron!

Yahtzee is a console fag that has a congitive dissonance. Doesn't see the problems console based gaming is creating and yet is criticizing PC market. He tried to play Witcher 2 on his old laptop, complaining that it doesn't run smoothly. Let him stick to popamoles.

EDIT: "its like Skyrim version of diablo"
Oh, youtube comments...

That's sort of funny, but also rather sad at the same time. I'm actually not that angry when I see something like this - in fact, I guess I'm mostly feeling pity. The current generation of gamers simply does not possess the vocabulary to describe what D:OS is like. They've never played the Ultima games, so they can only compare it to Diablo - much like several gaming sites have been struggling to describe MMX. There's been such a dearth of proper RPGs in the past ~10 years or so that people have forgotten that the genre doesn't necessarily have to consist only of awesome-button-mashing romance simulators. Let's hope this wave of promising Kickstarter projects changes that. :)

Nowadays everything is compared to Skyrim. Like that Far Cry 3 situation, game was described as Skyrim with guns. So it's no surprise casual gamers think in the same patterns. And everything that isn't real time is viewed as glorified version of chess. So when they are presented with a game like MMX - it's like a first contact situation for them. The thing they encoutered is so alien to them, they don't know how to react.

There is one popping up every couple of hours. Hopefully people hopping to a higher tier.
I'm sitting on one too, but have a bad conscience because the deal is just too good. Will probably pledge a few bucks more.
I'm only waiting to see how the Codex vs Watch thing goes, so I can decide whether I pledge here or directly.

I find Yahtzee way worse than Angry Joe. His reviews don't say anything relevant and fart and penis jokes are new to 12 years old boys.

Got the last remaining $65 Dragon Commander tier. :smug:
Wait what. I didn't think there was a limit. I was holding out until the end to think about hopping to that.

Not an edit but actually me looking at the Kickstarter page again: Son of a bitch! I didn't know Dragon Commander tier was limited.

You can still just buy the 25$ tier and add 40$ for Dragon Commander.

The original 65$ meant you're getting 2 digital copies of the game + DC.

As was said above, there is a new opening to the 65$ tier every couple of hours. You just need to be quick to grab it.
