I'm not trying to persuade you of anything I know you are lost case, your cursed elvish blood makes it impossible for you to be honest even for a moment. I'm just deconstructing your lies for everyone else to see.

Hmmm. Subbing is a fun trial run, but a proper game would be great. On the other hand, I'm a bit worried about the current game carrying over grudges/alliances into the other if they are simultaneous. I'm not incredibly sentimental about these things, but I'm not sure I could approach both games with the proper objectivity.

On balance I'm in, sure, but would rather wait for the current game to end or at least be closer to finishing.

So... how's the situation with thrones? (except that Berytos has half-won the game already! ;) )

Unclaimed thrones seem to be
90 (Atlantis)
306 (TNN)
324 (Xibalba?)

Anyone know which one is the three-pointer?

I am pretty sure objectivity will mostly take over with everyone having new races, new locations and other neighbors.
In a game where everyone is supposed to behave like an asshole tactician and propaganda master, it is hard to be mad at one for doing so.

Look, Grimwulf took my undefended butthole in the recent game (and is still failing to beat my AI cap - wtf, man, it's just a fountain), but I am not mad at him :)

I was about to do it, but then Berekän backstabbed my blackwing arse. Of course I am totally not mad at him! This game is nothing personal.
And tomorrow Berekaen will come home to a sawed off head of a bat between his bed sheets.

All I know is that none of that shit is near me and this map sucks.

However, Mictlan does not despair, because a letter of great import has come from none other than Benjamin Franklin, to bolster our spirits. I don't know really what the hell this old man is talking about at first, but then he loves turkeys, and so do we.

"For my own part I wish the Bald Eagle had not been chosen the Representative of our Country. He is a Bird of bad moral Character. He does not get his Living honestly. You may have seen him perched on some dead Tree near the River, where, too lazy to fish for himself, he watches the Labour of the Fishing Hawk; and when that diligent Bird has at length taken a Fish, and is bearing it to his Nest for the Support of his Mate and young Ones, the Bald Eagle pursues him and takes it from him.

"With all this Injustice, he is never in good Case but like those among Men who live by Sharping & Robbing he is generally poor and often very lousy. Besides he is a rank Coward: The little King Bird not bigger than a Sparrow attacks him boldly and drives him out of the District. He is therefore by no means a proper Emblem for the brave and honest Cincinnati of America who have driven all the King birds from our Country...

"I am on this account not displeased that the Figure is not known as a Bald Eagle, but looks more like a Turkey. For the Truth the Turkey is in Comparison a much more respectable Bird, and withal a true original Native of America... He is besides, though a little vain & silly, a Bird of Courage, and would not hesitate to attack a Grenadier of the British Guards who should presume to invade his Farm Yard with a red Coat on."

How are nations decided? Dibs? Because dibs on MA Ermor.

Not gonna happen. We'll do like tha last time, one out of a set of three randomly chosen. A pity, I would have loved to see a early crusade 'gainst the Undeads.

I was thinking another round of our codex map by Grimwulf

Map is too big for seven players. Maybe something like The Desert Eye or Parganos? Or other maps? Gotta check Desura.

I'm in, but I'll switch to AI if I end up starting next to Grimwulf again.

I could be interested depending on the random nations I'd get to pick from. I dislike this draft method and hate my nation in the previous game, wont commit if I have to play something I hate again.

I'm willing to pool ours and pick a nation we like. In case we want the same you get first pick if yours, I get first pick if mine.

And then we can all do so and so and pick whatever we like. Interesting proposition, but it defeats the sense of a draft, does it not? You would get a pool of six nations and the other peasants three.

Draft is a draft. Ask raw if you want a new set of nations, I guess we can manage a repick if the choices are clearly unviable.

Its not a matter of viable or not viable, TNN is a solid nation but I dont like it and dont enjoy playing it. At the same time I like and enjoy playing nations widely considered as "weak".

I'm with Malakal above, I play for fun and given that the game's biggest flaw is to keep players engaged until lategame, I'd rather pick something I'm comfortable with than a minmax.

Draft is the only way to have any semblance of fairness, regardless of your motivation. Unless you get Atlantis-Oceania-Pelagia or something, which you'd probably get a re-roll for, I fail to see why there wouldn't at least be one nation you could have "fun" with. And if picking an OP nation is boring, then gimp yourself and have fun with it. RP a stupid pretender choice, pick an odd bless, screw around in diplomacy....plenty of ways to shake things up.
