OG picked a disgusting Huskar/Io/Dazzle combo and is taking a dump on Fnatic. I wasn't around for the draft, was big spear man a last pick?

Unknown-Newbee game was fun to watch. That battle Alchemist build was terrifying -- it's far more entertaining in pro games compared to the Radiance/Manta/Octarine snoozefests that's been the trend.

Yeah I'm glad he didn't go for the meme build. They finished the game when they needed to - Alch needs to get 6 slotted and end the game asap, and that's what they did. Well done, Peru.

Incidentally, Gyro's record for the Day 1 matches was 1-5. Feels overpicked at this point and I'm waiting to see if the tournament meta shifts to value him less heavily in the coming days.

I can't wait for Tusk to be nerfed, snowball is such fucking bullshit.
About a year ago, my brother and I used to flame people for picking Tusk. Was a really shit hero back then, almost sub-40% winrates.
I also hate Tusk's design. Snowball is not only bullshit but it also looks stupid - ditto the Shards skill and the ult.
But now Tusk is basically the #1 hero in competitive. And a legit mid. How things have changed.
Nerf hammer is coming tho.

Before the snowball buff he was a shit hero, he got buffed a couple of patches in a row and being able to delay the snowball changed everything. Every single one of his skills are op - Sigil is bullshit, shards are bullshit, snowball is super bullshit. I guess his ulti isn't the greatest but the fact that it pierces bkb makes him a great catch hero.

Ritsu Dismissed From Cloud9 DOTA2 Roster
Danan FlanderNovember 16, 2015

Effective immediately, Ravindu "Ritsu" Kodippili has been dismissed from the Cloud9 DOTA2 roster. Today's elimination from DOTA's first ever Major, while unfortunate, held no bearing on Ravindu's removal from the roster. In light of this decision, Cloud9 Captain, Theeban "1437" Siva, shared his thoughts on the dismissal.

"Ritsu's performance on the roster was better than I expected and while I will miss having him around as a friend and teammate, the indiscretions of his past inevitably lead towards this outcome. His recent efforts to improve his behavior came too late and following our elimination from the Major, it was determined that Cloud9 was no longer the place for him to be."

Alongside Theeban's comment, Cloud9's General Manager, Danan Flander, spoke shortly about the sudden removal of Ravindu from the DOTA2 team.

"Events preceding the attendance of the Frankfurt Major weighed heavily on both Ritsu and Cloud9 as an organization. His out-of-game conduct was consistently unbecoming of a professional player and although he began taking steps to change himself and how he interacted with the DOTA2 competitive community, his past indiscretions combined were too much for Theeban, myself, and the rest of the organization to overlook moving towards the next Major."

Before beginning his journey back home, Ravindu wanted to share his thoughts about his time at Cloud9.

"While it's coming to a bittersweet end, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the guys at Cloud9. I made a consistent effort leading up to and during the Major to improve my behavior and felt that I was making progress. I feel that my play and behavior at the Major were both acceptable, but the conclusion Cloud9 drew in removing me isn't something I can fault them for. In the end, I'm happy I had the opportunity to attend two LANS, participate in my first Major, and work with Theeban, Brax, MSS, and SVG."

Yeah he made a lot of mistakes on AA in that first game. Some errors with the dazzle in game 2 as well but he got carried... he won with the picks though.

Best DOTA I have ever seen, and I am trying to get work done here. These last two games were just insane. And I don't even like EG. Man, the Storm pick! The Rapier! Man.

EG vs. Team Secret. Now drafting game 3.

Tusk, Dazzle, Windrunner, Ember, Tiny, Undying...

Same picks as every game. :troll:

Just watched the highlights for Game 1, looks like Envy might have got his BKB in the last fight during a sleight.

How could the sweater spell be broken!?

Also I remember the YouTube comments about miracle: cheater, MMR booster, could never play well in a competition or a pro team. And here they are, top three with him.

No Chinese team in the top 3 despite 6 out of the 16 teams being Chinese -- the most from any region. Haven't seen such a weak performance from them since TI3. For all their teamfighting prowess, their rigid picks and reactive drafting are holding them back greatly.

OG might have a genuine shot at defeating EG tomorrow; OG seems to have a lot of pocket strats, but more tellingly, OG defeated EG 2-1 during the recent MLG tournament. Looking forward to the drafting mind games tomorrow.

(P.S. Gyro has a stunning 3-13 record in the main stage of the tournament. Hope none of the three teams pick that hero tomorrow, since I fear that could lead to an auto-lose in the current tournament meta.)

I hope so too, I am really tired of watching Gyro. (And Tusk, but at least Tusk offers the mad snowball plays.)
