I am gonna seriously tank my winrate playing just Meepo (never played him in Dota 1). Fuck it, if there was ever a time to learn how to micro it's NOW.

Alright game mechanics question time! Whats the deal with certain jungle creep spawns at times not spawning at all? What is fairly obvious is that creeps will not spawn when some one is with in a certain distance from the spawn point. However occasionally they will not spawn at all, even at such a time that every one is on a lane for several consecutive minutes. This really only happens in spawn location #8 from my experience

Some units do interfere with the spawn it would appear though, but it does not seem consistent at all. Is this some sort of bug or what? It is quite annoying as it removes an advantage of the safe lane.

Yes, as Hump said its called warding spawns and affects mainly 8 and 2 in order to help secure the hard lanes (longer ones). Another good place for ward is 3 and 10 as together with pull spawns it denies enemy forester his "easy" creep spawns and forces him either to lane or to fight the hard creeps - potentially crippling him if he gets lots of centaurs/equal creeps.

Meepo in dota 1 wasnt ever a good hero after the nerfs... One of the most repicked/least picked IIRC together with Visage (poor Visage). I question why they imported him before TC or Phoenix.

Because he's a stupid gimicky hero people love to play just like techies even if all they do is feed.

Though it honestly doesn't matter. The same people would just pick Pudge and whiff hooks all day long if their favourite gimmick hero isn't around.

Meepo has potential: with good enough micro you can push 2 lanes, gain levels faster than anyone and be useful in fights. Its just that you wont ever have lots of hp and a strong late hero or a powerful nuker will just kill your copy easily...

Just some Meepo impressions, haven't played much of him but this is what I gather.

Pipe+Mek helps solve his meganuke weakness somewhat. Depending on the enemy team comp it may be worth delaying the big vlads/AC.

He's strongest when played proactively. You should have wards up to see anyone approaching, meepos surrounding escape paths when ganking, and always be prepared to go all-in with tabPOOFtabPOOFtabPOOF.

Also get every single DD rune you can find and coordinate a big push while it's active. DD affects all the meepos so you can take down a tower ridiculously fast. Or whoever happens to get caught under your 4-5 nets on separate cooldowns.

Magnus is in. Strange decision IMO, not the most popular hero. And they keep adding one hero at a time, with this speed it'll be ages before we get all roster...

Randomed Kunkka in my first game of the new patch. Proceeded to use the new low-cooldown version of the boat twice within the same fight. I also laughed at the buffed Phantom Lancer and one-shotted him and all his illusions with a well-timed crit.

So we did some DISCUSS!!! the other day while playing, and what I asked was how damage multipliers stacks, though no one seemed to know for certain. Multiplicative or additive. If it is mulitplicative I was thinking of the possible lulz of ES farming +damage items and getting Magnus greater cleave, massive damage inc.

Any way the item creation contest thing, any one else considering partaking in this shit?

it's additive of base damage.
base damage + x% of base + x% of base, same with +dmg auras

ES can still deal insane right-click damage, try lothars + crit, hit enchant totem, hit lothars, enemy goes splat (if you're lucky).

Any one submitted any models to the work shop yet? My question is if I need to bind any armor/weapon models to the skeleton in order to submit then, or is simply art assets enough and they rig it if accepted? The page is rather detailed concerning such things as ploy count and texture data but is lacking in info on this, most of the models available on the workshop page (that I've checked thus far) seem to be either lacking the skeleton or it's incomplete, such as Sven only has root and thigh joints. Spent some time knocking together some armor for Sven today for fun, would be nice if I could get it submitted.
