trolluwarlordu can be pretty fun. like so many other heroes, they've changed him a bit since I last played him in the original dota. but I kind of like him like this.

Yeah the account I got that pick from is 97% percentile. This isn't really news to me though. I mean, even with just the normal... very high brackets you could tell it didn't mean a fucking thing. I just played a game against a tinker who went arcane boots first item. After getting firstblooded by me. He won. I had 3 of the most retarded people I have ever seen on my team, and the only decent guy was offlane windrunner, so he had no impact anyways. Next game? I win by doing the completely retarded level 1 huskar jungle at 20 hp gimmick. Easy fucking win too. 97% of the player base is utter shit at dota.

Putting that aside, the DBR is fairly pointless for two reasons: it doesn't know what dota 2 uses for a rating system, so it can't calibrate for team discrepencies based on that. Second, it doesn't know if a team is a pub or a 5 stack, which obviously influnces win rates massively.

While I generally agree with this post you should consider the fact that Tinker shouldnt really steal all the farm from his team so going BoT isnt always the optimal thing to do early. If its a ganker Tinker arcane and bottle/wards work way better and allow your carries to farm safely in non pushed by you lanes. Ever tried competing for farm with Tinker? Then you know what I mean.

BoT != stealing farm though. I mean obviously you can, but that's true of any hero with AoE shit that can nuke a wave every 20 seconds. Competing for farm with a Lina or KotL is just as bad. If anything, pushing BoT back 1500 gold in your build means you need to take even more farm before you can actually fill your role as a hero that can be omnipresent on the map. The whole idea of tinker is that you can defend every tower, farm any jungle/ancient stacks your team can't, farm lanes nobody is going to farm, and gank heroes that are farming a lane alone but are nowhere near a tower. This guy basically just sat in lane until he had Arcanes + BoT, which is a terrible shit way to play tinker, who drops off massively once laser + rocket stops being a significant threat unless you get a dagon or sheepstick or something.

The past few matches, whenever I played public by myself, I get relatively good teams usually, with little lag. For some reason, when I team up with some friends, then the extra member or members will be shit -- such as a monolingual Spanish speaker for some reason deciding to come to Southeast Asia and I get lag.

Also, I got disconnected from one match for a while but reconnected and was still marked as having abandoned it. Now I am on the low priority list. How long will it take to come out of it?

Thats my observation too - when I solo queue I have more luck in random teammates than when I queue with friends. Guess stacks are matched with worst players for balance.

P much, from what I've observed. If you have anything less than a 5 man you or one of your friends better have a strong fucking back to carry the anchors that get put in with you.
