A topic that stays on topic! And also, that whole "Goosebumps" theme is wicked-retardo. I'm not letting that one go.

Why did you change your avatar? I really like the old one.

Why did you change your avatar? I really like the old one.

Why would you quote what you quoted in order to ask me this question? Also: Because I felt like it? There's been no new WL2/Fargo news to rejoice about so it seemed a little old to keep it. I still have the image saved. Whatever.

- Has an evil twin

What.

- Feels remorse when drunk

What.

- Reacts disproportionally to slight frustations

THE FUCK? At this place...of all the fucking places on the internet? You single out ONE member of The RPG Codex for "react(ing) disproportionately to slight frustrations"? Fucksake if I could ban you myself I would.

You probably don't need accelerated 2D anyway, unless your target is handhelds or browsers or the API's code is generally super inefficient. Probably just introduce artifacting and driver issues. Pretty sure C4's isn't. Maybe I am wrong, though.

I definitely need it since I want to do a lot of vector graphics with seemless zooming, and hardware acceleration can be up to 100s of times faster. Paradox also went from their old raster map to hardware accelerated graphics, and that's one of the strengths of their new engine.
