I am so intrigued by this thought - how long can they keep this up? They continue to piss off people with every game. Look at Bethesda, big studio, release a AAA game, get majestic sales + reviews. Sure it's dumbed down, but it's not anywhere near the level of retardation of DA2.They are basically hugely successful in the fantasy RPG space. They seem to have stayed true enough to their core fanbase while attracting newer ones (I've never played an ES game).

Bioware simply cannot do this. They have this very awkward delivery, somewhere between wanting to be a jock and being a homosexual basement dweller. It doesn't work. It's fucking retarded.

I think Black Isle had more to do with "Bioware's success" than Bioware, who have been decidedly unable to duplicate the success they once shared as BI's partner.
