Ooh. I hope David Gayder reads this one.
If DA:O made him feel embarrassed of his own work, then playing Planescape Torment would probably make him commit seppuku.
Jesus fucking christ, these people really are messed up.
I could understand kids of 5-8 years old saying such things, but I really doubt this is the case. This kind of people disturb me even more than the romance fags, altough they would probably be also romance fags, so... yeah, really creepy stuff.
The whole Bioware Forum is just one gigantic parenting failure, on all sides.

What the fuck is that? It's like some horrible alien thing, doing an impression of a sexy woman without really knowing what one looks like.

When a Bioware developper meets a Bioware developper, what do they talk about ?
BUT, call this a broad assumption, I am pretty sure most of the Bioware staff (MOST) is fairly normal, and possibly on the intelligent side. As a matter of fact, making awful shit that sells is often a sign of intelligence. It is definitely a sign of lucidity on some part (the marketing guys ?). So what happened ? How did it transition from Baldur's Gate to this ?
I imagine it would either be something likeWhat I keep wondering about is this. Bioware makes more and more awful games with more and more awful writing and more and more catering to people who have serious life issues and who failed to grow up correctly in terms of social relationships.

I do not mean WHY. I mean HOW. They have to know what kind of community they have created. They have to understand they have some kind of social responsability with how BSN turned out. Surely they have not created this kind of people, but this kind of people is now looking toward them. It's like owning a school and it suddenly becomes a school for retarded children. They have to talk among this between them, from designer to designer, from executive to creative to executive. They KNOW. It must be absolutely awkward.

All they had to do was check the feedback on the games they have created. The romances in Baldur's Gate 2 were probably an afterthoght and they certainly feel like one ingame.
Why the hell do you post confessions like that? Don't understand that it's just an ugly provocation?? I used to like your blog but after this... Wow. I didn't expect it from you.
I am very sorry you feel that way. I post most confessions unless I find them completely rude, or inappropriate in some way, shape, or form. If someone offers an unpopular opinion, I will post it, even if I know it will probably get some backlash. That is the point of the blog, that you are completely free to tell your opinions anonymously. Are there trolls? Of course. I apologize if I do not always recognize them, or if you believe one of the recent posts were inflammatory, but I just post confessions. I hope you will continue to follow us here at bioware-confessions, but I understand if you choose to leave.
Ok guys, I just read finally thread with a dozens of pages to catch on, how is the ga....
Don't worry Cole, I will remember you, an emo-scarecrow with gigantic something on head.
And what's with the women looking like a crack addicted skanks?

I do not think they "jumped" on it. All they had to do was check the feedback on the games they have created. The romances in Baldur's Gate 2 were probably an afterthoght and they certainly feel like one ingame. Yet, this is probably what all the people on the Internet were talking about.
The next step was pretty easy on a marketing point of view.
