That was a crime against humanity. And said remastered downgraded several graphics effect, let alone the reduction to Miranda's ass.Yeah Bioware is done, the last successful release they had was a remaster of a decade old trilogy. From a business standpoint they have zero justification to exist as a company anymore.

Only Codex is waiting for new Dragon Age.
Only Codex is waiting for new Dragon Age.
And now there are people who think DA2 "wasn't all that bad".A good chuk of the codex arrived here after Dragon Age 2 and bioware disaster, when there first negative review started to appear and codex was one of the few who actually posted that DO2 was trash., before other sites dogpiled of bioware.
After all, it's Codex. Every big game is crap when it's new. Of course when a new game comes out they start shitting on it and the previous title suddenly becomes a good game. And now there are people who think DA2 "wasn't all that bad".A good chuk of the codex arrived here after Dragon Age 2 and bioware disaster, when there first negative review started to appear and codex was one of the few who actually posted that DO2 was trash., before other sites dogpiled of bioware.
Everybody else got fired?
I thought Andromeda was better than Inquisition, although that's obviously not saying much.Normies on console love BioWare games, so if DA4 is serviceable like Inquisition was then it’ll do ok. That’s how low the bar is.
If it’s another Andromeda disaster this will be the end of BioWare.

As part of its recently publicised cutbacks, BioWare has "let go of" Lukas Kristjanson, the lead writer behind Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, and the writer of the first three Dragon Age games, Mary Kirby.
BioWare announced earlier this week that it'll be laying off approximately 50 employees - around 20 per cent of its total workforce, according to recent employment figures - as part of a "shift towards a more agile and more focused studio". Each writer had been with the studio for over 20 years.
Dragon Age: Beowolf is one of two games confirmed to be in development at BioWare. .
Kristjanson is widely credited for not just bringing us the original Baldur's Gate games, but also credited as the writer behind some of gaming's most iconic characters, including Minsc and Mass Effect's Joker.
"Stunned to learn BioWare also let go of Lukas Kristjanson," tweeted David Gaider, himself a revered long-time BioWare writer before he left the studio in 2016 (thanks, TheGamer).
"We used to call him Old Man Luke and Writer Alpha - there since BG1, the writer behind Minsc and Joker and so many more. One of Bio's longest-serving employees. Hats off to him, hope he's doing well."

"I just assumed he'd eventually be buried under one of the cornerstones. I imagine everyone did," he added in a subsequent reply.
Kirby, on the other hand, had been with BioWare since 2006 and is credited with bringing fan-favourite Varric to life.
The redundancies have sparked rumours that the studio is targeting either mid-/senior-level developers, narrative designers, or both, although, at this stage, the criteria BioWare used to select its redundancies remains unclear.
We got to be fond of calling him “Writer Zero”.

"In order to meet the needs of our upcoming projects, continue to hold ourselves to the highest standard of quality, and ensure BioWare can continue to thrive in an industry that's rapidly evolving," BioWare general manager Gary McKay wrote at the time, "we must shift towards a more agile and more focused studio. It will allow our developers to iterate quickly, unlock more creativity, and form a clear vision of what we're building before development ramps up."
"To achieve this," McKay continued, "we find ourselves in a position where change is not only necessary, but unavoidable. As difficult as this is to say, rethinking our approach to development inevitably means reorganising our team to match the studio's changing needs."

The based veterans got killed and I suppose the zoomer dangerhairs live on?
Ha. Haha.
They also produce stuff like Andromeda and Anthem instead of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2.The based veterans got killed and I suppose the zoomer dangerhairs live on?

Inexperienced writers require smaller salaries and hardly ever talk back.

EA doesn't know shit, they're retarded. Only looking to the very shortest of terms. It's clearly paying off. They must've lost a crapton on money on Andromeda and Anthem and one of the main reasons for the catastrophic flop those two games turned out to be is writing, especially for Andromeda.
Just another reminder that Bioware founding is a story about idealistic youthful entrepreneurship that had no right to work out. But it did.
...
And now it's a walking corpse. What a world...
DragonAge 4 will look like its Director. Answer to your question: Western Civilization has been for some time deeply retarded. Unironically

According to Grubb, these changes have come as a result of multiple factors. One of them is that Apex Legends is no longer making money on the same level it was in the past, while with EA Sports and EA Entertainment now being two financially separate entities, commercially successful titles released by the former like Madden and FIFA are also not helping cover up fiscal deficiencies for other EA studios any longer. As such, all EA studios are now more accountable for their finances.
Earlier this year, BioWare announced that it was going to be focusing exclusively on single player, narrative-driven games going forward. At the same time, it was announced that further development of long-running MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic was being handed off to Broadsword Online
It's funny that it turned out that Bioware actually sucked from EA and not the other way aroundThey also produce stuff like Andromeda and Anthem instead of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2.

If this was about that, it would have happened years ago.

Bioware no longer has Madden, FIFA and TOR money to cover its expenses.
