I wonder when the status quo will realize how many questionable morals and values are being shown in the 2020s.
Larian might have opened the door and did a little bit more than push some boundries. Same could be said about Owlcat too.

But this? This straight up looks bad. And I'm not talking about the gender shit only. Can't believe a shit show like this won't serve as a wake up call to most.
This has very little to do with Larian I think. DragOn Aids would have been released like this even if Larian was totally out of the equation

Every RPG that comes out in the next few years will have to do something with Larian and BG3. If anything they've shown that there's this kinky side of the market that has yet to be fully explored.

I think they would have gone full tranny wokeness totally independend from Larian. They were always degens like that. Developement time started long time ago. Studio is full os trannies anyway. And the cultural Zeitgeist these people follow points in this direction too for a long time. If anything they thought "We can't have sexual attraciive woman like this sexist Belgian cis gender assholes" or something!

You gotta remember that BG3 included degenerate romances because BG is a Bioware franchise and it's a Bioware staple, especially in later games of them. Bear sex evolved from ME Aliensex if I should have a guess!

You know like there's action rpgs, why not make a romance rpg it's own genre.

Don't mess with existing IPs, make your own stuff. Focus on the romance, do whatever sex content you want and take your audience to that corner.

Edit - Tim Cain spoke about it recently, romantasy in literature

EA did in fact delay the release to the end of 2024 to see if Bioware can take something from BG3.

Wasn't there supposed to be T&A& even dick (probably all on the same person) shown in this game? What happened to that?

Marketing lie to get the BG3 crowd probably, one of the reasons why game was delayed to 2024 from 2023 is the sudden popularity of BG3. They also said companion quests will be heavily tied into to main story just like BG3 but that SkillUp guy revealed that wasnt even remotely true. They also put the voice actors of main cast on a convention and tried to market them even before announcing a release date, highly likely because of the popularity of BG3 cast.

RE: Why bear sex is ok/liked by people in BG3 even though it's bestiality - the moral problem with having sex with animals is because they can't consent. The bear in BG3, being a druid who is shapeshifted, can and has given consent beforehand. There is also the sanitary problem of having sex with animals, but I don't know how that applies to druids and their forms.

Sure. I'm saying that BG3 being as big as it is and having been received warmly by the gaming audience couldn't have hurt their ambitions.

I've seen more and more fnatasy date sims popping up on Steam. I can't see such a game getting that big of a financial backup tho. ...yet.

Nowadays games don't seem to have the determination to tackle simple topics - such as love, good and evil, loyalty - in a mature way. And that's why we get shit like this. This bright looking miasma of a fantasy world that's completely out of touch with what the setting is about or atleast what it should convey.

Why do these monkeys think they can reinvent the fantasy genre? Better yet why do they think the best way to do this is by making everything look, sound and feel soft? Weak developers, weak writters, weak ideas, no vision for the future either.

They also see it as a joke. The same as Larian did. For me it seems like a parody of Bioware style alien-romances.
Man, we have all these conflicts because people don't get laid enough. Post-nut clarity would go a long way towards healing society
That might actually be true. Recent studies show that 25% of gen z have never had sex and close to 40% report having almost no sex.

And that's what I was thinking about. Not just another visual novel.

From what I've seen, a good chunk of Bioware audience doesn't care for gameplay. They want character stories and romance, but they need fidelity and voice acted dialogues, a robust character creator too.

I guess we shall see how big that audience is tomorrow.

Honestly, I would be curious to see how many people would play an official Dragon Age romance visual novel in comparison to this.

Yeah, it's really showing how graphics went up but combat, writting, even romance writting has gone down the drain. Even the fucking box/game art has gone down the shitter. Too much effort spent in the wrong places.

And it's still neither here nor there! There are no sex scenes in veilguard, just as there are no rpg mechanics.

So who, or what, is this design supposed to appeal to:

LOL, this is something straight out of Scooby Doo. Convenient that the villain has a lever that drops a humongous cage.

That this is even a surprising twist is laughable.

We're apes who talk (well, some of us are, most of us just mime vocal sounds like birds); the fact that not every game is like this is itself a fucking miracle.
Women say one thing, then to the opposite. This has been the case since the dawn of humanity. None of this should be a surprise.
