Codex Year of the Donut
trespasser doesn't end on a cliffhanger though, it's the end of the inquisitor's story.
In the aftermath of the Exalted Council, a post-credits scene appears. The Inquisitor meets with Leliana, Scout Harding, and Cassandra in what looks like the prison in the basement of Haven's Chantry to discuss how to best deal with Solas. Depending on the Inquisitor's romance choice, their partner can also participate in the meeting.

If the Inquisition disbanded, the Inquisitor, Cassandra, and Leliana will be wearing their normal adventuring gear. If the Inquisition remains under Divine Victoria, they will be wearing their red formal wear.

The Inquisitor vows to stop Solas by any means necessary (if chosen to stop him) or save Solas from himself if possible (if chosen to redeem him). To circumvent Solas' intimate knowledge of the Inquisition, the Inquisitor resolves to find people he doesn't know, then proceeds to stab a dagger through the portion of their war map labeled "Tevinter Imperium".

:hmmm:
"oh no not my heckin post creditarinos scene"

"Should we pick up from where our cliffhanger left off or just say 'nah forget that, let's do something else entirely' and piss off the core fans who played through that DLC and have been waiting over seven years and counting to see that story come to its conclusion?"
Bioware never had a problem to leave core fans hanging and piss them off after years of waiting when making new games. They promised that you can import your protagonist from BG2 into NWN. They promised they would respect your choices from DA:O in DA2. They promised epic finale in ME3 for diehard fans then a senior game designer declared that ME3 is best played as a new player.

Bioware is like the French Bourbon dynasty after restoration in 1815 with one exception - they learned nothing and forgotten almost everything which made them good.

looks like a flyer for a drag show

Looks like the new Dragon Age is taking place in the year 3000, or the '80s/early '90s.

His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable

His motive isn't inscrutable. It's not desirable, but it's perfectly easy to understand. He's a nostalgiafag.

And sometimes questionable? I reckon unmaking the world as is, and effectively killing off most of the population isn't "sometimes questionable", it's absolutely evil.

Can't wait to watch livestream of killings in Bioware HQ during upcoming Civil War. Dead trannies with Dragon Age tshirts will swing on the trees. fantadomat will be new Bioware CEO, after the Civil War. Everything post-Awakening expansion for DA:O will be deleted from memory
