Remind me who is Solas?
The guy with a compassion for spirits who made Inquisition significantly less cringy by focusing on being the player's pocket loremaster on anything fade- and ancient elf history related. Can be viewed both as a hero of his people and a traitor. I want to see how Bioware concludes (?) his character arc in Veilguard.

I also hope Blackwall at least makes a cameo appearance. His personal character story was pure kinoludo and his charisma was so powerful he actually made Sera at least somewhat funny:

If bioware is smarter they should throw 10 different romance scenes in their first trailer, including one with the griffin involved.

They are still try to catch the old fanbase instead of fully embrace the new degenerate ones. Now they are stuck in between where either side doesn't like them.

Still I like the series' story and want to see what happens next so I'll play it. Combat doesn't look good but the series never had good combat so whatever.
There is no series story. Dragon Age is the most comically mismanaged series in existence. Each entry just does its own thing with zero regard for what came before.

As for me, the entire "badass and silent assassin" is such a cliche, I can't stand it anymore. Let's leave it for Assassins Creed fans.

Leliana was the worst companion in the original game. She's just... dull? And boring. Like a Shadowheart in BG3.
Alister, Ogren and Zevran were the best.
During my first playthrough, I regretted not killing Zevran when I first met him. I was expecting to get some kind of badass assassin and instead got some pervert who behaves like a fag working at a women's fashion store. In hindsight, it's no surprise that the same studio would go one to create companions like Dorian and Iron Bull. I dread to think how Veilguard will try to one-up those characters. Probably by including their first ever tranny companion if the Qunari warrior in the ads is anything to go by.

The assassin in Veilguard's team could be what Zevran couldn't, but then he has those purple wings(!). So much for badass.

Morrigan is a Shapeshifter...
Yeah, she shifts into uglier and uglier iterations.

At least she ages realistically, like milk. In Origins her age is unknown, but all things considered she can't be older than around 25, probably much younger. I don't know if the passing of time since Origins is stated in Inquisition, but Morrigan's kid looks around 10 years old. In Veilguard Morrigan could be anything between 30 to 45 if few years have passed after Inquisition, so she's obviously not in her "full power" anymore.

Most codexers will buy it, enjoy it and post how shit it is on the codex, as always. Check players in the Steam group, in a few days, it will be full of profiles playing this game.
Maybe not this time. I saw Veilgard appear in the top Steam sales as a pre-order, but it didn't stay there for long, and when it was , it was not the very top , and getting beaten by indie titles like sin of solar empire 2. It's already no longer visible on the charts. It's nothing comparable to the Elden Ring DLC, let alone BG3. I think it will tank really hard.

Let’s not pretend it’s realistic or anything—she’s a powerful sorceress and could just stay young forever because of magic, you know. The character is made unattractive to avoid the male gaze and to not appeal to white men specifically. That’s all there is to it.

Aye, she could. But if she looked the same in all three games it would still look odd from the gamers' point of view who expect even fictional characters to show their aging, mage or not. It would work if the game brought up her use of "cosmetic magic" of course.

The breast-reduction was, as you said, done for political reasons alone and of course has nothing to do with simulated aging. Flemeth had a much bigger rack in Inquisition than her daughter, but that was ok for Bioware because she looked like an old woman. Making female characters visually perfect in the old style is unacceptable now. It's like a give/take exchange, if you make a white female character, she can't be pretty, curvy and young all at once. 'Cause that would be sexist, etc.

Speaking of inconsistent looks, it seems that they still have no fucking clue what they want Qunari to look like. From tall brown people, to demonic looking oxmen, and now to bizarre looking tieflings with AI generated faces. Also holy shit the Qunari companion in Veilguard is fucking ugly.

The new Quanri are negroes, just like most everything else. Paladins, elves, astronauts, normal people, super heroes, teachers, vikings, robots etc. Not thieves, criminals, villains or anything like that though.

I'm impressed that this piece of garbage is making through global top seller. Well we get what we deserve with so many shit eaters plaguing the hobby.
EA's throwing huge amounts of marketing dollars at it. Massive YouTube ads. Known IP, known developer.

This is BioWare's chance at redeeming itself from a decade of shit games, and it already blundered from the outset.

They are? I don’t think I’ve seen one YouTube ad for this game.

Cullen looks the exact same in all games in terms of age and he is arguably much better looking in Inquisition than on Origins or 2. Then again he isnt a woman so no 'hitting the wall' concerns for him.

I have zero interest for this. I dropped the Dragon Age series 5 hours into DA2.

Why am I here then you might ask?
