3x more peak players than Silent Hill 2 remake. Then i think SH2 remake was estimated cost <10m.

Starfield released on a Wednesday, reached 250k players on launch day, and reached its peak the next weekend at 330k.
BG3 left early access on a Thursday, reached almost 500k on launch day, 800k on the weekend and peaked at 880k next weekend.
Veilguard reached 70k on launch day. By the same logic, it might reach 100k on Sunday, or maybe a few k more than that.

The copium will be that "more players bought it on console or played in on the EA App" but, taking into account the franchise, the companies involved, the mega marketing and positive reviewing campaign, and the lack of any real alternatives in the market atm, it most certainly is a flop no matter how one choses to see it.
i think comparing peaks may be misleading. its worth noting that something like bg3 hasnt fallen off yet, while starfield died extremly fast, 3 months after its release. it means that since january starfield has most likely sold very few copies, while bg3 is still selling decently, solidifying its status of a successful product. as far as i am aware starfield dlc was a hyper-flop too, and interest in the ip is extremely low at the moment. i have never believed that DAV will only achieve laughable concord numbers, that would be delusion knowing powerful ea marketing and strength of the brand, but i still strongly believe we will witness DAV "pulling a Starf" in the following days. fabricated reviews, some unhappy and vocal DA youtubers, third worlders wilding in steam forums. the symptoms are here.
Anyone know how accurate steam revenue calculator is? It says the game made about 4 million: https://steam-revenue-calculator.com/
well done! only 146 more to go!

Steam forums especially for big releases have been borderline /b/ levels of shitposting for a while now. The Pajeets that censor these places can't keep up or are too dumb to understand what's going on.

I've been posting here all day and barely saw any posts regarding nigger elves. First they take away antisemitism, then racism, and at long last they will start to chip away at homophobia and transphobia. Mark my words.

That is a fact. Codex hates trannies above all else. A fair amount of people don't mind negro elves / negro companions in classic fantasy. BG3 proved just how much dick in the ass the codex user base was willing to endure to play a, at best, midly competent game. I get a feeling, a good deal of people posting here are brown / sexual degenerates though. So they like negroes, masculine women, homosexuals, bestiality, wanting scenes to concentrate on the feet instead of tits & ass (sorry Jarl), being talked down to, sex with monsters, brown asian elves etc. But for some reason, trannies have yet to be accepted here. I imagine all it will take is another year, maybe two, before people here are defending their transexual romance options in crpgs. Just look at the BG3 thread to see which users will be leading the forefront on transexual normalization.

After a thorough review of leaked footage and observing the suffering of others, I have come to the conclusion that this "video game" can be safely added to the list of man-made horrors beyond comprehension. At first, I thought I'd revel in schadenfreude. Now, I realize my time is best served by launching MH Wilds beta and staring at the unable to connect to server screen.

For reference, said screen can muster up 22k concurrent players, so I'll be in good company.

People been hating fags since I got here, so I'm thinking you're full of shit.

Gotta say, that song that plays during RUNE installation is bad ass, absolutely worth downloading and installing this shit for that.
