Dragon Age should have died with Origins a long time ago. What an almost offensively mediocre game. That it spawned so many sequels that were each symbols of the decline of not only Bioware, but mainstream RPGaming isn't surprising. That the series has survived this long is. It's one of the games that contributed to my 3 year hiatus from gaming shortly after it came out. Calling offensively mediocre is hardly hyperbole. I didn't even call it a steaming pile of shit or anything. But yeah, it is that bad. It's mediocrity in CRPGs incarnate.

I've played pretty much all of them. Funny that you consider yourself some kind of paragon of taste in the genre, and you're going to defend a game like Origins. It's NWN 2 levels of mediocre. In fact NWN 2 might even be better.
