One "companion" talks like she/it/that is a fucking emotionless zombie; while the other sounds like every single word she says is the culmination of the funniest joke ever told. Combat sounds like someone blindly copied random sounds from eary star wars movies. There's not a single time in the game where a voice matches the talkers lips. Veilguard has not even managed to beat Divinity: Original Sin 2's all-time peak on Steam so far.

I imagine most people will play this on consoles, tho. The combat is clearly developed with controllers in mind.

Well the issue I have is that the user lists more negatives than positives but still recommends it. I understand not being able to articulate yourself when it comes to critique. Not everyone is able to articulate themselves in a manner that befits proper dialogue especially on the merits of whether or not a product is good enough to recommend. Some people are only limited in the mental facilitates that the good Lord has blessed them with. However, when you list more negatives than positive, well, I call suspect.

Yes. The whole gist of the scene seems to be that Varric tries to improve your moral by telling you to go look at the hero the world needs - yourself. The real reason this miniquest even exists is that it afforded yet another chance to inject some modern identity bullshit into the game.

I can't stand him but streaming games is pretty profitable otherwise he wouldn't have been doing it for so long.

Ok, so just finished with the character creator. It's excellent, aside from basically 97% of all the hairstyles making the character look incredibly gay. It is interesting getting to pick a faction to join. I tried to make the most manly dwarf I could.

Dunno if I quite succeeded there but you be the judge I guess. I'm also very impressed by the settings available (e.g. FOV slider) and the ultrawide support.
