Agree, they are teasing and taunting their fans on the bioware boards. Im not an advocate of piracy though, but I do think they should be treating their fans with a bit more respect.
I'm feeling a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" vibe, here.

I guess it's not really Bioware so much as the way the whole Hype machine in gaming media works now.

I wish games would sell based on being great games with deep content and not so much based on tons of HYPE like they do now.

That probably had me already irritated combined with the fact that Bioware was making jokes about what content was gonna be released to their fans just bugs me for some reason.

Im not really talking about loyalty here, I just hate the HYPE machine = TONS OF GAMES sold model used today.

I absolutely love it when 'fans' get mocked. Such a dispicable group deserves it.

We love it when you get mocked too, Volourn.

It's the 9th already, lazy Canadians, at least when Blizzard pulled this crap they launched at midnight

and had an anticipated game *rimshot*

Right. So if we tease them, we're being disrespectful.

And if we weren't, that would be fine...? Or would you just find something else to rant about? Yes, I suspect so. Since this isn't really about the supposed teasing.

...

The fact that you didn't pause to try and comprehend what you read, yourself (if, in fact, you did pause to read it at all) before the rabid drooling began might actually constitute a moment of irony for you (a high point in your life, I'm sure) -- if, that is, you were even capable of that level of self-awareness.

I'm guessing not.

Marketing is the most evil force in the world.

But until I figure out a way to boycott it without dieing the death of 1.000.000 causes, I'll deal with it.

I stared at the teaser screen for hours trying to muster rage, and sorry, it's just not there. It's stupid and unnecessary and uh boring and uh there. Ayeeyyahh, run for the hills!!111!!!

So, what time do webmasters start work at Bioware these days? It's like 3pm in Edmonton right now.

You guys need to take some pointers from Blizzard. (ie. Actually reveal your game, have more than screenshots to show, talk about the game as real people not as PR drones.)

PS: Your logo isn't a secret.

Except BLIZ does talk about their games as PR drones. It's all about making money.

And, BIO's PR seems to be working considering even sites that 'hate on them' ie. Codex and Obsdiian are spamming non stop about the 'reveal'. not to mention, BIO's PR has been successful for 10 years hence why they are still in business. And, Troika isn't.

Fans' don't deserve respect. theya re scumbags, retarded, selfish, punks, pieces of fuckin' shit, and are only worthy of giving up $50.

Either the fans are low-life scum like you, or Nobel-prize winners is irrelevant. That's not the point. The company's policy towards the public is and should always be the same. It's how the market works and there are certain norms that dictate how to treat customers. You either go with it or you're history. If the case was as you suggest you would end up not having any clothes or shoes to wear cause no one would allow access to a slimy fucktard like you. Yet they treat you the same as they would anyone. So better be thankful and shut the fuck up

Dumbass.

u r dum

This must explain why some of the most successful companies are the ones that people tend to bash the most. EA, MS, Walmart, McDonald's, and the list goes on. All 'hated by all' yet successful beyond belief.

Same with BIo but not to the same degree. Bashed for being 'meanies' yet successful.

In essence, your theory sucks and is full of holes.

There, there.. :) *pats dgaider's head*
The point was, mr. pink pony, that the disrespect in question isn't about your "teasing" but the general attitude you have there, on the biowhore forums. Of course you try to insinuate, having that shitty strawman attitude of yours, that "we think you're bad (morons, idiots.. etc.) because you're teasing" - but that's not the case.

And what's with that 9. july shit? It's already 10. july in the biggest pc-game market on the planet, Europe, and that site of yours is still brain dead.

"It's already 10"

Nope. Still, July 9th. About 6 hours to go. Dumbass.

Plus, they don't owe us anything today.

Period.

It's 10. july in Europe. Moron. You must try to learn to read with comprehension together with Dgaider.

If they have gone the spineless route of writing the game in american-english even though they are Canadians they could've as well released the shitty info while it's still 9. july in Europe - the continent with most pc games sold on the planet.

You clearly didn't watch any of the press conferences Blizzard did from their WWI. I guess you also don't appreciate the Diablo 3 site going live the minute that it was announced with high quality gameplay videos and all sorts of information you normally have to piece together from crappy previews?

Let's take EA who are in the industry since your generalization sucks. They're not hated for being disrespectful or showing indifference to consumers. They're hated for their policy towards small developers/publishers. Buying them out and reducing what's left of creativity and independence in the industry. This is a business strategy that has nothing to do with customers. Moron.
