This must explain why some of the most successful companies are the ones that people tend to bash the most. EA, MS, Walmart, McDonald's, and the list goes on. All 'hated by all' yet successful beyond belief.

Let's take EA who are in the industry since your generalization sucks. They're not hated for being disrespectful or showing indifference to consumers. They're hated for their policy towards small developers/publishers. Buying them out and reducing what's left of creativity and independence in the industry. This is a business strategy that has nothing to do with customers. Moron.

Rather than supporting their games for years like Blizzard they shut them down to force people to buy the newest version of Madden or whatever. Clearly no points earned there. Microtransactions, etc. Not everyone cares about the side of things you talk about, because not everyone is aware of it.
