Man, Warrior looks fantastic. The counter move at 0:32 is juicy as hell. From what I can gather from this 50 seconds vid, the vocation feels a bit more fleshed out than in the original game. Hope I'm not wrong.

Past are the days of playing filthy strider/assassin degenerate. It's time to pick a big sword.

I wonder if there’s some Warrior Core Skill or Augment that boost damage with perfectly timed button presses. At 33 seconds it looks like the sword is lighting up to tell you when to press the button for the combo, (DmC: Devil May Cry had a light flicker on weapons to help with combo timing) but I don’t see that during any other attacks besides the combo at 33 seconds.

I think is a Core Skill. If you time the button presses right after each attack of your basic combo the next attack will come out faster. Cant remember where I read it, Ill look for the source and post it once I find it.

ps: Haven't found yet the official source, but here is a video showcasing it. Is a Core Skill called "Chain of Blows".

The only bad thing about this game is the amount of furry perverts is going to attract. We are going to need an inquisition and crusade.

I'm not big on the cat people, they don't even have any beastly/inhuman features beyond the realistic lion face flattened and plastered onto an otherwise human head, which looks about as silly and uncanny as you'd expect. The fact that a lot of them are seemingly going to be talking the same hammy ye olde english as everyone else instead of a unique dialect just makes them extra silly in my book. Making your character/pawn one also allegedly is just a literal cosmetic difference so what's even the point.

Perhaps the point is that you can now larp as Guin (I hope, I don't know if there's a leopard face option).

I don't blame Capcom for including a furry race. They've had anthropomorphic characters since Breath of Fire, and I'm pretty sure these cat-men are based off of their RPG fighting game Red Earth.

But you're not wrong. Furries have ruine everything. Thundercats were cool as a kid-- and the show's intro sequence has some of the most beautiful animation you'll ever see. But I shudder to think of the amount of degenerate porno it's inspired.

I'm torn. Not sure if I want to start out as a archer or warrior. That great sword combat looks frabous, but I feel like that's all I've been using the past few years in games like these. The archer combat looks slicker than pig snot.

The game is going to make that choice easier for you. You can’t start out as a Warrior. The Archer on the other hand is a starting Vocation.

Legolas it is then, but my Legolas will identify as female. I shall call her Legolalisa.

Actually the most pressing questions about DDII are: Would we see offline no DRM patch? And would we be able to run it on our 14 years old HW?
Third question is would our health and shaky hands even allow us to play action game?

So the same three spells as in the last game, then...?
I think only two (Bolide and Maelstrom) are exactly the same. I may be mistaken, but the fire spell, Comestion, may be a new one. DD1 had a horizontal Fire Wall, while here you cast a cone of fire which occupies a significant larger area. Also the thunder spell is a new one. The Ice spell is similar to Frigor from DD1, which was a Mage spell, not a Sorcerer's. While the concept is the same (summon an ice spike that leaves a platform you can jump on) the difference is that the platform is a ramp instead of a circular elevation, as seem in the Wayfarer trailer where the Arisen uses Frigor, runs up the ramp and jumps from it to attack. Compared to how it was in DD1, which needed you to jump and grab the ledge of the ice block to climb, DD2's version seem to be more useful to use mid combat.

Not watching spoiler videos, but can't wait to play this.

Hate how all the useless media is spoiling all the game one month in advance. Be strong and arrive fresh for launch!
