So I'm reading the rps "interview" about this game and it's total shit. It isn't an interview. It's a round table discussion and it seems to focus more on how cool kickstarter is than the game itself.

Who complains of puzzles in Dreamfall? Yeah, they sucked. TLJ's puzzles were not all that great either. These games are not about puzzles. They are about the setting, story and characters (TLJ had the better ones; but I liked DF's dream-like mood better). And most of all, they are about escapism. They could be the most escapism-filled video games out there. Not only you escape reality to sink into this cool sci-fi world, but later you also escape that (along with the main heroine) to visit another, fantasy-themed world. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I love it.

I do hope for a better interface this time, though. Damn, the one in DF was bad.

TLJ had a great story, everything was so alien that the game appeared to be a dream that Ragnar had and decided to do a game about it, April had a shitty life and when she goes to Arcadia for the first time there is a genuine feeling of wonder and fear at same time, it was a contrast between emotion and cold calculation, sometimes April could whine too much sometimes but she changes as a character. Ragnar can be a bit too pretentious sometimes when writing dialog, but he is almost as good as MCA.

Anyone who brought any modern bioware game and consumed the shit Gayder produces should clean themselves pledging for this game. The gameplay is going to suck? No doubt, no Funcom game that ever existed had a decent gameplay, the same could be told about modern Bioware and Obsidian (I can't forgive them for NWN 2 OC and DS 3). This is going to be a storyfag game, storyfags that love Bioware, Obsidian, CDProjeckt and love storyfests with mediocre gameplay at best have to pledge for this game.

Yep, Ragnar mumbles pathetic crap. But they've got working prototype with city & nice looking 3D model of pierced girl PC. In fact it's considerably better than most of kickstarter pitches.

No, Dreamfall Chapters is NOT an episodic game, despite the title. You're pledging for a complete story, in a complete package, and the game you get on launch day is the FULL game with a beginning, a middle, and a definite end.

Also fulfills all technical requirements:
- PC primary platform, with Linux and Mac via stretch goals.
- DRM free.

And yes this deserves its own thread. We have been waiting for 7 fucking years, and the final chapter is finally happening.
