Maybe the real drama was the friends that we made along the wayLow tier drama is ruining the Codex. We need a better level of drama.
Where did you get the money to invest in games. Are you a trustfund baby or something?
Is this the codexian version of the navy seal copypasta?Where did you get the money to invest in games. Are you a trustfund baby or something?
I can field this one. Markland mentioned in yet another drama thread that he made his money via frivolous lawsuits.

Figured it was the litigious version of the Taken guy speech. Is this the codexian version of the navy seal copypasta?
and that's bullshit.1. MLMarkland attempted to make a new thread today containing some of his favorite movie trailers (and didn't even bother to embed them properly) but a thread for movie trailers already exists, in the Library
2. I moved MLMarkland's posts to that existing thread
if you look too long the pattern will look back at younothing’s random, there’s a pattern to everything if you look closely
That wouldn't do anything for SEO though.Make a new thread entitled, "HI, I'M MONTY MARKLAND AND THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN FIND ME IN REAL LIFE" for all I care. Doesn't bother me. Just make it in GD, not elsewhere.
We mostly got well-known by giving bad reviews to popular CRPGs.I assume historically codex was much more well known, but that no longer seems to be the case. A generational thing, or whatever you want to call it.
It's just so... quiet. We have been months now without drama. The drama fields have run dry, bereft of any new fruit. The workers sit down, lamenting their lack of jobs. Drama harvesters sit idle.Just bring shitbox back ffs

The quiet grows.
Saint P and Vault Dweller no longer write reviews. Codex simply publishes what people submit. If the grumps can't be bothered to write several thousand coherent words about a game they dislike, then their reviews just won't exist. We mostly got well-known by giving bad reviews to popular CRPGs.

That ended once the RPGCodex Steam Curator became a thing. Now the Codex produces "neutral positive" puff pieces.
Frankly though, I'm glad we aren't getting a new influx of redditors for every AAA game that's released anymore. Some of them inevitably stay and drag the taste of the hivemind down another notch.
the codex's negative selection has led to the strong and nearly equivocal opinion that a game needs to be beaten seven times on the turbo fucker you're gonna die mode in order for the reviewer to write anything of valueSaint P and Vault Dweller no longer write reviews. So you're telling me that if I write a review shitting all over Starfield or Wrath of the Righteous it will get accepted and published? Unlikely.Saint P and Vault Dweller no longer write reviews. Yes, a curator that's intended solely for recommendations is going to link to positive reviews. But that Steam curator link (assuming it's still being updated) is gonna be neutral positive, since nothing on there has a negative review.
