Which almost certainly doesn't match the amount of runes you can get back from just killing him for what he stole.
Well the 5000 runes he would've stole is worth much less than a completely limited crafting mat

There's already like 10 of them in the game and you only use them to go from +24 to +25, how many people are going to already have 10 +25 weapons and be like 'SHIT MAN WISH I HAD JUST ONE MORE'

So is there any actual reason to leave the idiot Gostoc alive? Looking at the internet all they did in this patch was if you finish the Nepheli storyline he moves to her new hold and sells one single Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone as a bonus. Which almost certainly doesn't match the amount of runes you can get back from just killing him for what he stole.
Those shits are worth way more than souls in the long run

Hm, Mohg the Omen fight wasn't so bad. Kinda liked it. Easy to dodge attacks, highly telegraphed, with some exceptions but overall pretty good. Rock sling and night maiden's mist wreck him. Magic glintblade as well.
Also made it to Nokron after the falling star and I'm speechless. The verticality is out of this world, pun intended.

What do you think steel is Sunri?

https://monroeengineering.com/blog/... between iron, mixing iron and carbon together.

The primary difference between iron and steel is that the former is a metal, whereas the latter is an alloy. Iron is simply a metal element that occurs naturally on Earth. In comparison, steel is a man-made alloy that’s made by mixing iron and carbon together.

HELP! So I'm trying to do Ranni's questline (currently trying to find a way to Nekron) but I seem to have hit a wall. I'm supposed to give Sellen a letter but she is no longer in the Waypoint ruins. She's still held captive in the Witchbane ruins but she will not speak. I don't even get the talk prompt. Did I break the game or what?

Did you attack her at any point?

Either way you can continue the Ranni quest line by taking a single step in Altus plateau, then killing Radahn

Did you happen to kill her in Witchbane?

She'll talk if you shoot an arrow at her.

No she's still alive.

No she's still alive.

Well, you can actually kill her and she'll keep reappearing in Witchbane, but she won't say anything to you afterwards.

Either way, try going to the Church of Vows in Liurnia and cleansing your sins there with the Celestial Dew. That would be the only advice I can really give.

Great, so now I have to go on yet another giant scavenger hunt for one stupid item. I shouldn't have to atone for anything. The dumb bitch flunked out of wizard school and got herself locked away in a dungeon. How tf is that my fault!?

Like perfectslumbers, you can definitely just skip this part of the quest. The information she gives you isn't all that helpful.

She basically just says that you can't do anything until you kill Radhan. He's stopped the stars in the sky and killing him is the only way to release them.

do you also know why you actally are there
after melina burns the tree?

I stopped thinking about it a while before that point and just made my way through everything.
You are told the moment you slay Maliketh.
The Rune of Death is unbound
is spoken right after you kill the Maliketh of the past. Destined Death can finally happen to all in the Lands Between, and the burning of the erdtree can happen for real. It also means you can slay the Elden Beast.
Of course, you asked why you're there.. it's not explicitely told, but it seems most logical that it was just Malenia sending you while she was still burning. She's already shown her ability to teleport you to places that are Outside Of Time, when she teleports you to the rountable hold. Her goal is for the erdtree to burn (which only fully happens after Maliketh is dead) and for you to slay God and become Elden Lord.
If you do the frenzied flame ending you're the one that burns and Melina is not there so I don't think that theory is correct. Honestly, it's most likely just a lazy way to get you to the end-game zone.

No she's still alive.

Remember her other body is 'spectral'.

That's her real body in Witchbane Ruins, which you can't do anything with until you finish her primary quest. You can't do anything with her main body until after you kill Radahn, then talk to her spectral, and she asks you to find her main body, only THEN can you do anything with it.

Then you have to finish Witch Hunter Jerren's quest.

Then you pick one to side with and kill the other.

Siding with Sellen gets you a set, a dagger, and a spell you can buy from her, then you can visit a couple bodies after talking to her further to get 2 more sets.

Siding with Jerren gets you that ridiculous giant head of hers that she wears, and an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone (and her bell so you can still buy her stuff).

You can get her helmet after siding with her when she turns into star.

I've looked, after finishing the game, into the other endings and spoilers, and if any part of the game seems lazily done it's the frenzied flame path, so I would be more inclined to think it's what happens on that path that isn't correct to what is happening.
An example : you can save Malina by burning yourself, then back off from the frenzier flame path with a convoluted quest to get a needle to remove the frenzied flame from your body. The game never acknowledges this at any point and you won't see Malina again.
