The good old times, when Bethesda games were a convoluted mess, but fun. Different starting stats for male and female characters, interesting classes (sorcerers which started with 0 mana and had to absorb mana to cast), classes which made no sense from a power gaming perspective, levitate, destroy wall, mark and recall and no level scaling ("Crypts ... can be very dangerous. A first level character has just as much chance of upsetting a lich there as a 20th level does.").

Why was Mark and Recall removed again?

I mean they could've just blocked it in certain plot related "no exit" areas.

They probably assumed it was unnecessary with the fast travel system.

And I doubt Bethesda would ever do that much work.

But Mark and Recall is better than fast travel...

Are there any mods that add it back?

Morrowind NAILED how fast travel should be done. Modern day devs have lost sight of the best way to use it best - to skip sections which you become over familiar with. The likes of Skyrim don't even allow you to get familiar with a place before throwing fast travel straight at you. It's just a very mechanical, out of place part of gaming now with no weight attached. Morrowind's Mark, Recall, Silt Striders etc. all felt very organically part of the world, so you could easily forget it was technically fast travel

TES VI will NOT be announced until ESO is finished/on its way out.

Starfield will be a Sci-fi RPG and will fill the void for the next 5+ years until TES VI comes out.
Nah, Zenimax Online handles ESO not BGS. Todd isn't going to be beholden to what they're doing, they've said as much. He makes Zenimax way too much fucking money to be restricted by some shitty MMO.

I think Starfield will end up being a 2018 game.

Congratulations, having played 1337 hours means that you can now decide if you think the game is bad or not, as per Celerity standards.

So the question is, will this be even more shit than Skyrim? Wait, isn't that a rethorical question at that point?

What TES 6 needs to make it a success?

It has everything it needs already: hundreds of thousand retards who would not know what a good rpg, or even just a good game, is even if you would smash the codex top 100 with a sledgehammer into them.

Skyrim was considerably less shit than Oblivion, so exactly how shit TES6 will be is an open question.

Bah, there was barely a difference. Both shitpandering to the average power fantasy retard. Both centering the happenings of the world entirely around the character. Both are full of decline. Skyrim has the worst UI in TES history and the "character generation" is bare bone to say the least and they castrated it even more.

oblivion has some great quests and guild storyline. Skyrim has nothing like that. Even the daedric quests are turdy. System wise, it is even worse. Casualized skill tree perk garbage that belong in the septic tank.
